Daz store really lack in the horror department, besides characters there is not much to choose from.
How come there is no ''limbs'' props ? Like you got a head and with a script you select the model you wish and BAM! the severed head has the look of your model's face. Not only a severed head but what about same script for other parts of the body: leg, arm, etc. ? Is it too hard to pull off ?
Blood props is another thing, the props in the store are old and not really realistic no matter the scene setup. Everytime I make an artwork that has blood in it I have to do work arounds to make it look good.
Halloween is coming and Daz store dropped the ball again....

I seem to remember some more recent items r.e. the 'severed limbs' front for Genesis 3 and 8.
As for blood, I also seem to remember some new items along that front in recent months. I'm sure others will point those out.
Some of the older stuff gets deprecated from the store, but there have been a number of items along these lines over the years.
Also, Renderosity has some stuff. My point is, Google can help find some of these items.
Finally, post work is a time honored practice with Daz renders. Ron has built a good chunk of his product library around post work effects, as have a few other PA's.
As I mentioned, I'm sure others will chime in. But yeah, Daz Studio and liquids, it's an artform... one that I'm not particularly good at.
Thanks for the link of the product ! But again, it is old and it is limited in what it can do, for the head at least. Interesting for the other parts though.
You could try Shape Reprojector for the head idea, but using your chosen figure and hiding everything but the head (or using a geograft to do so) is going to be a far better approach than trying to make a separate object look like your chosen figure.

The store has PLENTY of "horror products". Severed limbs and blood - sounds like you're after gore... Blood is super easy, there are a TON of water products in the store - puddles, splashes, rigged water, etc. Just add a blood shader and blam, blood. Severed limbs are also really easy, just make a trans map and hide the rest of the body.
Personally, I'm glad there's not more gore in the store. I would definitely shop here less if they started adding a bunch of gory products.
I have plenty of horrible renders...
...between the abudance of fantasy and horror themed content here, my purchasing has been easily kept in check. Seems every few days, fantasy or horror is the store theme.
I think this year has been horrific enough already, all for free.

Perhaps not quite what you're after in the severed head department, but Headlee is fairly horrifying and you might be able to use some elements of the kit (i.e. the Neck Graft geograft) to create your own severed head. (The eye and lip stitches look useful too). Want a little spine with that? Maybe Skull and Spine is what you're looking for.
Others have pointed out the Severed Man (but no Severed Woman? What happened to equal opportunity amputation?) FenixPhoenix has all the scars, bruises, wounds and burns you could ask for (or maybe not -- but they have a lot, anyway). Want some blood on your face (you big disgrace)? Blood Splash has you covered (literally). Actually, if you search for 'blood', you'll find half a dozen products: just from the promo art, Iray Grungeworx and Ultimate Blood and Dirt for G3F look particularly promising. And by 'promising', I mean 'gruesome'.
Herschel Hoffmeyer's Gore Pack for T-Rex 2 is dinosaur-focused, but maybe you could find something there to use. I mean, 'Meat Chunk with Drool' sounds like something that could fit in every horror scenario. Or you could add some Gutz. There are, of course, plenty of Them Bones (bloody or not, according to taste).
For female amputations, you may need to go to Renderosity, where powerage has an Amputee product for G8F (and a companion Gore for Amputee). They also have a product called Legless that might serve. Cybertenko's Conqueror's Delight gets you some piles of severed heads (still not finding the elusive head-severing script that you're after, but if you can't have quality, why not go for quantity?)

We do have some good options from PAs thankfully, but how often do we get non-cartoonish horror creatures as good as Lycan or S1M's excellent Creech Evolution (male/female)?
Horror might be better supported than some other themes (steampunk for example), but I don't think it comes anywhere near the level of support for fantasy.

1. Your very first example is more-or-less a toon character. I specified non-cartoonish for a reason.
2. At a quick glance of the non-toon stuff, I'm seeing mostly PA items, not Daz Originals, which was part of my point - that Daz hasn't been driving G8 horror support to the same degree as G3.
Edit: Thinking about this topic while working and don't know if I want to dive too much deeper into it in the forums - I think that part of the discussion comes down to what one considers a satisfactory horror product, and I'd rather not argue over specific products. I've shared my thoughts as a horror fan - that the selection at Daz is decent but still feels lacking and could be better supported.
I wouldn't mind seeing some gore stuff, that would help me out personally with most of the stuff I'm doing.
Personal renders I do a LOT of gore and horror; but I find i mainly rely on custom tweaks for existing characters, manipulating shaders and what not (as aforementioned) on liquids, and much much more postwork if it's really gory. There are products out there that assist, but will never come close to the actual vision (and nightmares).

mostly because it goes against daz policies they don't want anything to do with it, I've been border line with some of my renders some did get in trouble for some they missed I think. Think stuff you refer to is stuff inspired by Hellraiser, 13 Ghosts, more graphic undead/zombies with missing parts or hanging off like jaws yeah there are zombies but not walking dead/living dead looking though brain eater is pretty good has an eye hanging out and exposed brain but his skin is very dark green I always change it to anothers so can see detail better. There was an artist or team of artists that did some more darker characters like 13 ghosts style like the the one with the cage on his head but think they were g4 I got few of them but forget what they're called so finding them impossible nearly, the artist/s no longer here they left cause they couldn't offer what they wanted to offer. There are a lot of artists here that could cater towards more darker stuff but they gotta hold back on what they do/offer us so that they can sell here and the other places too. Oh someone mentioned the severed man well read that has come under fire few times and had to be edited in sales page and it's not even allowed to be talked about really, there's a female with her head hanging to side think g8 but you gotta do lot of post work to make it real if you know what I mean, which is same with lot of stuff to get most out of it to have the look you want only way is lot of post work effects wise and at least there are a few content creators here that offer stuff to get us started as for daz making it very much doubt it as they have a family image they want to maintain safe to view in schools, libraries, churches and work places so I've been told by daz themselves or at least their representives

ZWorld anything, West Park, Parkside. No shortage of graveyards and other final resting places.
Albert Mansion is probably the best horror exterior environment and by far. The props are legit and textures look really good up close.
Come on, many products people are listing here shows exactly my point: Most of these products are old and their textures looks bad for close ups.

Sounds like there is a gap between your agency's expectations and what can be had for $20. So, either use what is available here now, or not. I don't make them, and I can't force anyone to make them, I just pointed out some of what is available. If someone ever makes what you want, good for you.

well there is an opportunity obviously too if you can learn to model
or retexture the existing old things.
Sometimes 3D Artists kitbash/modify and create stuff as well as loading existing content.
I even ran some small textures on an existing set through waifu2x-caffe to upsize them the other day
