texturing question

I am tinkering with a g2M skin texture (yasuo face to be exact.) I want the model to have scales on his face.

I have the diffuse map done.. looks great to me.

I also have the bump map done too.. looks all scaly.


my thing is....

I want the scales (only the scales) to shine when light hits them.

what's my next step?

    You need a specular strength map to control the amount of specular highlight - probably also a glossiness map to control the size of the specular highlight (although some of the skin shaders may not let you add this).
