Download Failed

I've been downloading stuff from Daz and Rendo today without issue, so I know it's not my network. However, I'm trying to reinstall a specific product, Highlands, and DIM keeps throwing a download failed message. So the next step was to try manually downloading...no dice. I'm getting a network error message. If I try to download anything else via DIM or manually, it's fine...so it's something specific to the Highlands download. Thoughts?

    GOOD.  I was trying to get a bunch of stuff downloaded the other day and kept having failure after failure!

    All I know is this is getting tiresome as I'm trying to repair some of the borked Smart Content I created when manually shuffling things around, and now I can't because there are downloads failing.

    Still looking into it, working with our storage provider but since the issue only sticks with specific files for some time and then moves on it seems to resolve itself before a lot of deep technical investigation can really get started.

    So far we have ruled out the caching nodes, the authentication on the caching nodes, and the network connectivity of the caching layer to the storage system.

     

    If you see a bunch of people saying it has resolved for them but not for you, please respond in this thread and let me know what product SKU and file you are trying to download so I can use it for continued investigation.

    The one that has been failing for me for a few days now, and I just tried again, and it is still failing is "Abby for Genesis 3 Female" SKU: 36907

    I got to about 30% before it failed when I tried a few minutes ago, which may have been further than before, I am not sure. Anyway that product might help you track down the issue.

    Edit: Scratch that, I refreshed DIM to grab yesterday's purchases, and now she downloads. It is obviously a bizzare occassional error.

    These were giving me issue this afternoon, but I was able to get them to download just now - 

    Highlands
    ROG Medieval Bedroom
    Medieval Dinner Hall
    Rivendell Gazebo

    Several of my reported issues were marked as resolved, and I was able to download all those failed items.

    At the moment, the failed DIM download for me seems to be Nature - Lake and Forest Ps, everything else downloaded fine.

    For me Cloudscape Creator - Sky Cover for Iray Product Sku: 65407 refuses to download. Parts 2,3 and 4 all download fine but part 1 downloads at a fraction of the speed then fails randomly. I submitted a ticket but was told all was fine at their end and they could not replicate the issue. Tried DIM, manual download, and as a last resort, Central but all failed. Also tried a different device, and a different network. No joy.

    SKU 66441 Ancient Dungeon Kit. It failed for me yesterday and is still failing now.

    Having repeated failures on 58075 (Sci-Fi Task Force Outfit for G8F). As Mart1n71 experienced, it starts downloading incredibly slowly before stalling and failing.

    Yesterday it took me around 14 hours or so from the first attempt to be able to download all of 35847 (Classic Suits: Shader Presets), parts 3-5 were failing continuously and were likewise painfully slow to download when they finally went... just in case anyone is still having trouble with those. Same for 48271 (Fantasy IBL - Red Maple Forest HDRI). All three parts initially failed, two and three finally downloaded, and it took around 14 hours or so to finally get the third part.

    Not all remote file servers are up. I can't get Small World for Caryn 8 HD and Tobyn 8 HD SKU 59697 to download.

    Hmm, problems are back, but worked after some retries.  I guess just keep trying.

    58075 downloaded and installed for me on the first try a little while ago.

     

    I finally got it to go but it took a lot of "Download Failed!" and subsequent spamming of the download button. That'll break through on some things but not on others, hopefully it's actually fixed now if you got it first try.

    SKU 73447 Template. It failed since 4 weeks and is still failing and I get an auth invalid error, all other downloads worked so far.

    SKU 66441 Ancient Dungeon Kit just downloaded ans installed for me. I have now downloaded everything that i have bought.
