Silo Model to Genesis 2 Female in DAZ

I've been playing around with Silo recently and I really like it. I wanted to make a character and test it out. So, I imported the Genesis 2 Female base into Silo 2.2 and morphed it using the various tools in Silo. Now I would like to import it back into DAZ through the Morph Loader Pro option, but it's saying that the geometry is wrong...or something like that. Is there something special I have to do in order to load characters from other modelers in order for them to work in DAZ on a base figure??

Yes, the main one is the vertex count, it MUST remain EXACTLY the same.
You cannot add or remove vertices to create a Morph, you can move the vertices around, but not re-move any or add any new ones. The mesh that you create is used as a 'morph target' for the original mesh, so all of the vertices must be there, and also in the same order.
I have seen problems in the past with some modellers which change the vertex order, and that will not work either, but there is usually an export otion that says something like 'Retain Vertex Order', you need to make sure that is checked as well.
Make sure you exported the OBJ with Genesis at base resolution, normally it is subdivided and that won't work as a morph.
You also can't use the break function to make sections into there own object. You have to leave it all as one object if that's how you exported it. For some reason if you break it up it won't work anymore. I've found out the hard way several times. I think it may drop the group when you break it and that is why it won't work
This is most likely your problem.. if you morph an exported character with sub-d at anything higher than base you need to have a special plug in to load it which is only available to Daz PAs currently.
Just found this while searching.
I have tried exporting Gen2 male to silo (using the silo preset in the export menu) and after importing to silo the body parts are all separate ,including the lips, so morphing around the mouth is impossible without it tearing. Is there a way to weld the seams on export?
yes, there's a checkbox for it on the little pop up window
