Hi all. Can anyone help me here? I have created a hairstyle that's mostly an updo, but with spit curls hanging down past the ears, ending near the chin. I used the Transfer Utility to move the rigging from G2F to the hairstyle. No matter whether I select Headwear, Short Hair or Shoulder-Length Hair as projection template, the rigging transfer causes a crease in the spit curls right around the jawline. How can I avoid this? Thanks.

Do the kinks show up even when the figure's pose and shape are zeroed? Was the hair modelled around the base shape, or did you model around a morphed shape and then reverse the source shape from the target?
Hi Richard. The kinks only show up in the posed figure. I did indeed model around a zeroed G2F with no morphs applied, just the base shape and T pose.

OK, in that case it sounds as if the weight maps need adjusting or you need to add joint-controlled morphs - although I'm surprised that they are kinking rather than just curling. If you switch to the Geometry Editor tool and open the Tool Settings pane. Click the right-most of the three buttons at top-left to go to Vertex Selection mode and select one of the vertices that are near the ear, where the curls are moving correctly. Now switch to the Node Weight Map brush, right-click and from the menu pick Selection Type>Vertex Selection; in the Tool Settings pane click the Selection Analysis tab and expand the options to see the current weights for the vertex - I expect they will be at 1. Go back to the Geometry Edit tool and select all of the polygons for the curls, then back to the Node Weight Map Brush, pick each weight map in turn in the Tool Settings pane, right-click and choose Weight Editing>Fill Selected, then enter the value you noted - that should make the curls move uniformly.
Hi Richard -- Thank you for the clear and succinct explanation of how to do some basic modding of weight maps. I will try this out.
