Thanks. I'm guessing, the images you have in your set use the "shorter" transmap. I'm curious to see what the back looks like at full length.

Yeah, not seeing much of a difference, but I did check out some of the images people posted, and it looks like the hair can get longer in the back, which is good. I'm going to have to try it out once I'm done with my current render (it's been rendering for about four days now), and I can't use DAZ Studio until it's done.

I've had renders take significantly longer as well. I'm working with only 2 GB of RAM on a 32 bit system. Depending upon the lighting and other scene elements, a scene can take anyware from under an hour, to over a week or more.
One thing I've been noticing is that a majority of the links here are texture sets for paid for hair styles, not actual hair, and most of the actual hair is for either Generation 3 or earlier figures, or other "stand alone" Poser figures. There really isn't much free hair for Generatio 4, Genesis, Genesis 2 or Genesis 3 to be had.
Most of the hair, by its construction, is pretty much intergenerational, without too much fussing. Also there are quite a few 'fit' poses for the older stuff, too.
Even the hair that comes in the Starter Essential packs isn't made for Genesis/Genesis2/Genesis3...
True, but that still doesn't change the fact that there really isn't a lot of variety in freebie hair. It's mostly textures for paid for hair.

I can't get the 80's mullet hair to work. It's listed, along with the morphs and different textures, in my library, but when I try to load it I get an error message. I'm using Daz 4.8. Any ideas anyone?
Oh, and same for the underwater hair too!
What error message are you getting?
It's a box that says "An error occured while reading the file. See the log file for more details."
I've looked at the log file, none of which makes any sense to me.
Can you post the bottom of the log, starting where it says it's loading the hair?
I cleared my scene and tried loading the hair twice. Here is what the log says at the bottom.
