Checkout not working.... Gives me "OK (string of numbers)" error instead.

Okay, I'm trying to check out.  I select my preset credit card from the patment options, I enter the Card Verification Number, I click the Place Order button.  It then gives me a cryptic OK message in red, with a string of numbers after it... and it dumps me back to the Checkout Payment page, ready to select payment system and enter the Card Verification Number....

The transaction does not show up on my ordered-stuff history, and the items I have on my shopping cart are still showing as In Cart, so apparently the transaction did not go through.

Anyone else having this problem?

Me too. I had to re-input my card.

I feel like Daz really crapped the bed on this rollout.

  • Yep, following. Thanks!

Yes - I wish I had checked the forums and seen the planned change. I had a full cart and when I went to purchase, the store went bye bye. This morning my cart was empty and after going through everything to try and catch the sale still, I found the prices were unchanged. I guess that's what the Clear Cart button is for. If there was a message on the store front about this, I didn't see it, and if there wasn't, someone should have thought of it.

  • Theres some bugs to work out, which is whats causing the error at message.. the good thing is, if the price is different, it wont check out (which it would have done under the old store).

Well, I noticed someone else's advice was to re-enter the CC info and try it again,.  Cleared and re-entered my saved CC info via my account page, having noticed the first and last name fields were blank there, and it didn't seem to want to let me successfully save the new CC info.  On the other hand, I then got it to work, via the checkout page, and the transaction went through.  And the saved CC info shows now as saved.

    edit:

    Wait, what the bleep?!?

Just went to check the transactions history, and it looks like the main history page shows the transaction went through at full retail, but the About This Order record shows it at the sale price.  Bah!  I HOPE it went through at the latter amount, not the former!  0O

  • Well, went to my credit-union transactions page and.... looks like the sales price is what was sent my way, not the full retail.  ))Relaxes visibly((

Same error here. Also Save a new credit card does not work!

  • Yeah, it didn't take when I tried to save the new CC info alias thingy via my Payment Methods page, but it did save when I re-entered the CC info on the checkout page.  I guess chalk it up to another one of their wierd system quirks here.

  • Thanks, will add to the list.

    Meanwhile I paid with Paypal.

  • I can't check out with my usual debit card, screen asks me for a nick name but there is nowhere to add a nickname that I know of. I tried my user name but that does not work.

Does anyone else have this nick name problem?

This is a known issue, as in something that has been reproted, but it would help if you could post the steps (or send me a PM) so that they can track the process.

Sorry Richard, I'm at work now and can't screen shot. But as I go to the screen where you put in your Debit card info, it has a new field marked 'nickname'. If I try to pay without a nickname, it says there was an error in processing your card.

I tried using my user name as a nickname but that did not work. Thanks for responding so I know I'm not the only one with this issue!

Ah, I see. Thanks, I've been able to reproduce this and passed it on.

Actually, when I repeated the test with real details it used the Nickname as a reference for the stored payment method (and it stored the details despite my not having checked that option, so that looks like a bug). Perhaps it needs to be a unique identifier.

  • same problem, and sale period is over.
