turning visibility on and off

How do I turn off an entire limb  without having to do each part separately?         i.e. all of an arm or leg?

    Try these visibilty presets: http://www.valzheimer.info/2017/06/va2017-visibility-presets-for-genesis-8.html

You could, also, use the visibility presets that some clothing items like HFS Interstellar Officer for Genesis 3 Male(s) include. You just have to remember which ones bring those. If you don't know do a search in DAZ Studio's database.

A feature in at least the latest version 4.12 (don't recall whenit started) lets you hide an entire hierarchy by clicking on the visibility eye in the scene tab while holding the CTRL key. For example, go to the shoulder node and ctrl-click on the visibility control eye and everything below the shoulder is hidden. Do it again to restore.

  • I think another option is to right-click on the item (such as an arm) and select expand [or possibly expand all] ... then click on the top item and do a shift-click on the bottom part [the last fingertip]. With many items highlighted, you should be able to hide them all at once.

I knew it was something simple but when the mind is even simpler it's nice to have the Commons to ask for help. Thanx folks

Ah, a new feature. Thanks. I had been using visible presets. Not anymore. :)

Well, guess I am back to the presets as you can't hide just the body, for example, and not the head that easily. I can do it faster with the presets. Although this is still a great feature for quick arm, or head and limb hiding.
