dForce: Long dress morphs

Hopefully this might prove useful to others if we can find a solution.

I have long dresses - some of them made for dForce - but they lack morphs. In particular, morphs to hitch up the dress to knee level or higher. So I tried to make my own morphs using either DFormers or Blender Sculpt Mode but can't get it to look natural. So I had an idea that turning the figure on her head and letting dForce gravity do it might be a good idea but it didn't work - the dress just spread out as it draped and when the figure was returned to upright, the dress looked like it had a strong wind blowing upwards.

I might have to try this with Marvelous Designer which has a pinning feature and I am able to drag the cloth as it drapes (features that would be so useful in dForce) but I am not very skilled with MD either. Besides, most DAZ Studio users don't have MD so a way to do this in DAZ Studio (or Blender) would be welcome.

Any ideas?

Scaling down Y-vector on pelvis and everything below on the dress?

If I understand you correctly, I can't see that working very well because I want to see the natural folds as the dress material is lifted/compressed.
