Any News on the Gallery?

Is there any news about what's going on with the gallery? Do we know when it will return?

Thanks! :)

There is no problems  with the Gallery.  Daz said before the upgrade took place that the Gallery would not reappear until later

I quote from the first post of DAZ_Rawb's thread

*snip* After we bring the site back up all parts of the site should be back up and functional, with the exception of the Gallery, which will come online a bit later. The Help Center and Daz Blog will remain live during this update. *snip*

Just my opinion, but I doubt it will come back before the main store issues are fixed.

  • Thanks for letting me know! Happy creating! :)

Well we thought that "later" is like 2-3 days, but looks like "later" is later than that huh

Daz still has a good number of major store issues to fix. Having the gallery back up certainly has lower priority than that.

Apart from anything else  the Gallery is connected to the store, so the store needs to be running correctly before it is worth buckling the Gallery back on again.

  • As someone who spent his formative years working in restaurants, I'll pass along some free advice. When you give your customers an honest estimate of how long they will have to wait for something, they can be amazingly patient. But if you say "a bit later" and that means two months (or two years -- we have no idea at this point), you will lose some of your best customers. Communication is the key to everything in life. It's not too late to start telling us what's really going on, with a message that pops up when you click on Galleries. Most of the DAZ artists, customers and vendors are comfortable with software and database issues and will readily understand.

That rather assumes Daz has a reasonably precise timeline.
