Autofiting Capes and other hanging clothes

Now, I've finally created my protagonist in G2F, full six and a half feet tall. For those wondering how I solved the problem that was spoke of in my previous thread, I actually just transfered the AMR morph with transfer utility and then used ERC freeze and such to get the scaling to work. Now here is my new problem, her cape. Autumn's outfit is essentially the Night Guard gear with a few tweaks. Now, I knew this was always going to be a problem when working with clothing from a previous generation, so my first thought was 'Hey, I'll just the Genesis 2 version.' I then realized I would have the SAME problem with the Genesis 2 Male verison, because it would be put on through Autofit. If this was any other cape, I could just parent it and not fit it, but that doesn't work with this one because of it's straps (You can see them on the second render). So, the question is, is there any way to 'un-pose' the cape but leave the rest fitted?

No there isnt.
But, heres what I would do, take the fitted one and make the cape invisable in the surface tab leaving the straps.
Then load another cape but, dont auto fit it. Parent it in place and make the straps on this one invisable.
Thanks for the reply. I had that thought after I made the post, will likely do that. Although it does poke a hole in G2F/G2M compatibility, now doesn't it? It would be great if Daz could address this. but they seem to be hellbent on giving us new features with the software without addressing problems with it, especially problems that affect their business model, like splitting up Genesis 2 into two figures. .
Yea, the only thing I want is an actual long skirt clone that works with autofit.
I cant believe they couldnt fix that using the mfd for genesis.
Or at least give instructions on how we can make our own files for auto fit.
Need extra long sleeves to.
If you want a G2M outfit on G2F the best chance is really the Genesis 2 Cross-Figure Resource Kit product. While it dos not work perfectly on all occasions I am getting way better results than with autofit - I know that e.g. SickleYield often used the product on her own clothing items and they work very well even for special rigged skirts etc. Make sure you read the enclosed documentation.
When I want to transfer a specially rigged clothing item from e.g. Genesis to G2F then I am typically not using autofit, but using the Transfer Utility, as you can basically tell the Transfer Utility to retain the rigging. Another option is parenting of course, which works for hairs more often than not, but that probably doesn't help in your case.
