Here comes the total beginner. 001
In the middle of the showroom I have a box with a white border with a time in the top left. I can only render in this area. How can I remove this?
Oh, the time is always the same.

That is the Aspect frame, showing what will render. The "time" is actually the aspect ratio, the proportion of width to height. You can turn the Aspect frame off from the Viewport option menu - the lined button in the top corner, or rright-click the tab. You can change the aspect ration in the General group in the Edit tab of Render Settings - Active Viewport will use the full extent of the currently active Viewport rather than a specific size if that is what you want.
