Hi everyone

I was poking my calf with finger and as you see my calf skin changed its shape. Is it possible to apply such thing with Daz Studio so my model would look more realistic? What kind of morph I should use?

Thank you everyone

Regards,

That would require a physics engine, which DAZ Studio does not have, but you could try to get that effect inside DS by using a D-Former

There is a tut here on this thread _ http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/6484/

It would be easier still if you have Hexagon. You could send the figure to Hex via the DS Bridge, and make a small indentation there, then send it back, and DS would create a Morph for you. You can do this with any modelling program, but without the Bridge, you would need to Export/Import the figure as an OBJ file.

What you want is soft-body physics, something which Daz Studio doesn't currently support. You can simulate this using D-Forms, but it's not terribly accurate, so expect to play around with it to get the right look.

Oh Hexagon. Ok. What about Blender? Is Blender able to import/export OBJ files?

    I think I will try D-Forms first.

Any 3D modelling program should be able to import/export OBJ, and Blender certainly does.

You cannot add or remove any vertices though, just move the existing ones around to get the effect that you want.
