DS4.6 on Mac OS - Dead in the Water

I have not used DS4.6 in a while... I'm primarily a Poser user. However, I need to test some products in Studio, so I tried loading some figures and each time I load a figure, Studio closes immediately with no error message. At first, I thought it might be the figure I wanted to test, but to rule that out, I rebooted my system and then tried loading a DAZ figure - Gen 2 Female in this case - and a couple of seconds after the figure appears, Studio just shuts down.
Can I get some help?

What version of DAZ Studio are you using? Is your graphics card updated with a current driver?
"About" says V4.6.3.52 Pro 64 bit. I'm running on an iMac 27" system, which is an all-in-one, and it updates itself automatically, so I'm sure the graphics drivers are current.

Any chance you can post the last from the DS log and the crash log (if it crashes=
DS log can be found in DS under Help->Trouble Shooting->View Log File...
The crash log can be found in Console.app (found in /Applications/Utilities, post the first 100 lines or so from the crash log.

The crash looks pretty weird
Are you in the content library pane (looks like that), and did you right click to bring up the contextual menu for the item or did you just left click it or double click it? I ask as it seems to be fiddling with a qtMenu stuff.
OK, if you now add a line to the log just like ###HERE###, save it, then "do what you did to make it crash", then look in the lok again, what is below the ###HERE###? (That is hopefully what made it crash.
I usually simply double-click on a figure to load it into a scene.

Any success in getting messages from a crash into the ds log?
Problem solved. It was my fault. It turns out, I had neglected to properly uninstall an old version of the Reality plug-in, or more precisely, an obsolete ACSEL database file for Reality, when I installed a newer version.
