Shoe Foot Pose Question.

I have made some heeled shoes and I have a foot pose. When I pose G2F I have to use the foot pose every time to get the shoes to fit right.

Is there a way to save the shoes so that they will pose with the foot correctly every time the figure pose is changed, without having to apply the foot pose again?

You can pose them to the figure, then remove the figure, then save the scene with just the shoes in the default, then you can either reload the scene with the shoes already in position,or merge this scene into another existing scene with a figure in a default pose to accept the shoes.

I want to be able to save the foot pose with the shoe so it works with any pose. I can then give them away as a freebie.

you can save the pose in Studio or use the poser format exporter in studio to include the pp2 pose, or use poser to create a smart prop (which can't be done in Studio), that's if the shoe is some format other than a non-rigged figure.

I know how to save a pose in DS, as that is how I saved the foot pose in the first place.

I just wondered if there was some way to add the pose to the shoe to save having to keep applying the pose every time a different pose was used.

I'd like to know this as well........it's a bit annoying having to hunt down the foot pose every time I change the figure pose! The only way I've been able to make it less irritating is to copy the foot pose icon to every set of poses......at least that way I don't have to go hunting for it!

I suspect there isn't any way to do get what you are looking for though.......the best shoe (content) makers and even DAZ O's have that quirk.

If it's an OBJ model non rigged export out of Studio with the shoes in position at 100% scale. The reimported OBJ will retain the rotations and translations.

Try saving the shoe as a wearables preset with the pose on, and the pose option checked?

    Nope, that doesn't work either.

This is interesting. I've been wondering the same thing. Will be watching, and appreciative of any advice.

Assuming that was in reply to the suggestion of a wearables preset, were the shoes parented to the figure as well as fitted?

Looks as if this isn't possible then. Oh well back to applying the foot pose to the figure every time I change the main pose!

it is possible and I've done it repeatedly.

    import the model
position it on a figure with a default pose
    export it from studio
    reimport it,

I don't think you understand my question.

The default pose is NOT want I want. I want the Pose I have saved so I don't have to keep applying it to the figure every time i repose it.

You can lock rotations for the foot and toes in the parameters tab of the figure (put a mouse over rotation and click on little lock icon) so they wont rotate when you apply different pose. But locks wont be saved in wearable preset.
