I don't see any mentio of these here. What are all these new filament-based products for (liek Atmosphere for Filament)? Are these only meant to be used with Filament? Are they only useful in the Viewport? Help me understand. Thanks.

Yes, they are made for Filament - which can be sued for rendering, by setting the render engine to Viewport, if desired.
