Additional My Daz 3D Library installed with 4.14 (when I had another one using already)

Hey folks,

when installing 4.14, it has added another Library to my content panel that appears to be on C Drive. My original library was moved to my D drive. This is where DIM should install to.

As the C drive one appears to have unique product (recent purchases), am I safe to copy over the Runtime items to the D drive one and remove from the content panel?

Loving the version by the way, well done :)

If they were installed with DIM, use DIM to uninstall and reinstall to the correct location, then remove the added content folder in DS using Content Directory Manager.

    How did you install DS?

Yeah installed 4.14 with DIM too. Ok, sounds like a good plan, will check DIM paths and try what you have advised.

  • Ah. Looks like DIM has reset the content path to the default C drive. Hopefully this does not apply to too many downloads.... ugggh.

  • DIM doesn't unilaterally reset the paths - if it lost settings check that something (security software or other system tool, hardware issue) isn't damaging the settings file in

    %AppData%/daz 3d/InstallManager/UserAccounts/

Ok cool will check that. I wondered why it would reset. It looks like it happened a wee while ago so now confused as to how I was seeing new downloads in the content panel given it was only showing the D drive library. Anyway, clearer about the issue so hopefully wil be able to sort quickly :)

A new version of DIM came out recently, and there have been a few reports of content installation settings being reset. Looks like you're one of the (un)lucky few that got bitten.

For those with multiple accounts the installations paths have to be checked with each switch. DIM wasn't even holding pathways in the same open session when switching accounts.
