If that doesn't help, you have some, character/morph related corrective morph triggered that shouldn't trigger without the said character/morph.

If that is the case, load the "Genesis 8 Male Dev Load" and pose the arm for the problem to appear.
Select "Show Hidden properties" in the Parameters-Tab, and use "Currently Used" to show all the dials that are active.

Amongst the hidden ones, try changing the values until you find the one that is causing the issue.

  • hi i have tried both these methods and unfortunate its still the same :(

  • maybe it's a morph I need to buy? or iv installed it wrong?

In the picture, you have "Left Shoulder Bend" selected - Leave it like it is and instead select the base figure "Genesis 8 Male" - which dials have non-zero value in parameters list? (try filtering with "Currently Used")

  • A shot in the dark:  Is your figure parented?  Occasionally a parented figure will inherit some stretchy-bendy weirdness. If yours is, just un-parenting it should snap the geometry back into place.

  • how do I un parent it? i don't think it is not from my knowledge and yes i tried this Pertti but all it shows is genesis 8 eyebrows

  • eyelashes*

  • this all it shows :o

My first guess is that you parented genesis 8 male to eyelashes rather than eyelashes to genesis 8 male.  Please show us a screenshot of the expanded Scene tab rather than the Parameter tab.

You are in "Shaping"-tab, that doesn't help, go to "Parameters"-tab to look

avoid the 'twist' use the bend!

They should give the same result, the figure uses property cloning to put the twist bone's twist on the bend and the bend bone's bends on the twist bone.

I suspect the issue here is a corrective joint adjustment for a very different shape kicking in when it shouldn't - if, with the defomration in effect, you select the Geometry Editor tool is the tapered cylinder for that bone aligned with the actual model or offset from it?

The picture that I was asking for is still missing...

While you have the parameters tab active, select the base figure "Genesis 8 Male", you cannot see the active morphs and/or JCM:s if you have the shoulder selected

Once you have "Genesis 8 Male" selected in Parameters tab, choose "Currently Used" - What does the list show?

  • ah sorry, you mean this? I'm still learning Daz :s

  • A morph that has been saved incorrectly can also cause the issue. A possible band-aid solution (outside of making a new library and adding the morphs one by one to see which one causes the issue) is to adjust rigging to shape. With your character selected, go to edit > Figure > Rigging > Adjust rigging to shape...
  • Sorry and I also have a problem with Genesis 8 male clothes.
Why do the clothes look so puffy and is there anything I could adjust in Daz studio? Please let me know if there is another way to solve the problem, thankyou.
