Those new animation products

It would be nice to be able to see what the animations look like before buying them.

For example this product: https://www.daz3d.com/variety-gun-pack-animations-1-for-genesis-8

Why isn't there at least an animated GIF to show the animations?

  • I agree that would be very helpful and wish all the animation products had a video on their product page.

I am also curious as to why these animations are not aniblocks. Is Daz moving away from AniMate? It's not a big deal, but it is curious. The drawback is that I can't preview the animations if they aren't aniblocks, but maybe there is a valid reason?  Especially since these new products seem so tied into the animation improvement announcement/upgrade.

  • well I know someone who was trying to make aniblocks and having all sorts of issues

she asked me for help but I am just a user and cannot make them either

neither was DAZ because hers were for Hivewire3d figures cheeky

    Gofigure is uncontactable

so I can understand why many would not use it especially if they sell motions on other markets for applications other than DAZ studio as most do

Some of the animations have an embedded YouTube video. I too wondered if they are aniblocks or something else.

Does anyone know what format are they in ? are they Daz Studio .DUF presets?  or do they come in.gfs aniblocks?  BVH, biovision  MMD? Motions designer? ect, as well?     it be really helpful to know what the motions formats are available?

  • I guess you all need to ask DAZ, grab a ticket take a seat laugh

  • Asked about this.

I bought the Everyday Animation bundle last night but haven't installed them yet but according to DIM, the file list has the animations as .duf files.

I didn't know they were hand made and I bought them without even look at the sample videos. But now I'm not sure if I should keep them or not because I prefer the motion capture animations and some of the preview videos I saw today for the product, some of them are little too rigid for my tastes.

I'm afraid there are no missing videos.

Good Intel. Thanks for updating. So have had a chance to try them since your post?

  • I got the first bundle.  They are .DUF presets and are not AniBlocks. When applied they show up as keyframes in the regular timeline. It was easy to convert to AniBlock and save. There is an included script to unlock limits on Genesis 8.

Pack 1 has 2 Deaths, just dropping to the floor and a few idles holding a gun and gesturing.  Pack 2 is odd.... It has an idle, jump, run and running jump holding a gun.  Each are matched with Male and Female.  The last two is a walk (Labelled Male Only) and a shoot (Labelled Female Only reaching into a right side holster with left hand to shoot... very odd indeed).

Meh, they're OK, they have no thumbnails and are not a complete product at this time!  Added a quick video for the two gun packs (Red Pack 1 and Blue Pack 2)

Thank you. I was wondering about this.
