I also use OpenCL when rendering the scene with workload size set to 64 when reality wants to work that is.

I haven't been messing with Reality much since I got it. Some scenes work while others do not. I am mainly working with poser content files cr2 which inturn loads a obj file into the scene.
My problem is that with certain files I load into the scene Reality 2.5 refuses to export the geometry for it, and just stops.

Steps I use to produce the problem:
1. I load the poser cr2 file into the scene just the problem object by its self or with other objects into the scene(This includes the required light and camera), and then goto Render menu and select Reality Render.
2. Change settings that I want or even just leaving it at default still doesn't work.
3. Click the Render Frame button at the bottom.

Reality Render just seems to stop with this printed at the bottom:
Exporting Materials and lights... -- Exporting the geometry...

Along with all the buttons grayed out at the bottom except for the Save Scene Button.

When I go and check the log file I see this:
DEBUG: 0: Toolkit found: Y:/Program Files/DAZ 3D/DAZStudio4/scripts/Reality/RealityToolkit.dse
DEBUG: 1: Toolkit included
DEBUG: 2: Reality Toolkit v.2.0
DEBUG: 3: UI created in 1.415 seconds.
WARNING: Unhandled error while executing DAZ Script.
WARNING: QScriptEngine::popContext() doesn't match with pushContext()

I only get this error on certain poser files I load into the scene. Not sure what is causing it.

Would trying a different plugin such as Luxus Fix this problem or is something wrong with the poser files I am loading into the scene? I don't know that is why I kindly ask for your help on this issue. Please and Thanks.

Can you tell me what is the model that causes the issue?
Also, does it happen when you use the CPU renderer?

So far great product. I like it.

I did somemore testing on different models just to see how often it happens from genesis 2 to anything dealing with the nearme model by e-frontier. and they all work fine in Reality 2.

It only happens on this specific model set:
    Rin wear for Near Me(Poser) - http://casiopea.jp/download.htm. http://casiopea.jp/sozai/dl_sozai/nm_rin_wear1202.zip

If I load any of them into the scene the hair, pants, top etc.. it stops at generating geometry. Not sure what is so special about that model set, but thats the models that are not working for me. It happens weather I use cpu or opencl mode.

Other then that model set not working in Reality all the other content seems to work fine.

Sometimes it's the name of some materials. If they contain unusual characters they can create issues. Try setting Reality to use Lux Text format instead of the default Ply Binary and see if that solves it.
You find the option in the Output tab.

    Cheers.

Thanks. That fixed it for me I used the Lux Native Geometry format. All this time using the output section of Reality and I never saw that option until now.

Glad that it worked. Some special characters don't work in the file names and the ply file format uses external files.
I'm writing a workaround to this in the next version of Reality but in the meantime the Lux Text option can help.

    Cheers.
