does it seem we can't get a stable version anymore from 4.11 ?

I mean, the animation bugs plagued the whole 4.12 series. Then they skipped 4.13 I suppose because 13 is just a bad number. Then the new 4.14 comes with bugs in section planes. Well these are main features, and the bugs have been reported multiple times. So please fix at least the main features before publishing a new release.

Am I the only one feeling there's something odd ?

The problem with Section Planes, which is almost certainly going to be up to nVidia to fix, was proving hard to reproduce. Now that a method that works seems to have been found we may hope for progress.

    Well, I'm glad I didn't upgrade...

@Richard I'm aware it's not daz fault, what I'm saying is different. That is, in a release version the main features should be working. So if you need nvidia to fix a new version of iray because it doesn't work, then use the old version until they fix it. Section planes work fine in 4.11. It seems to me that daz is giving priority to new features even when they break stability, that's good for betas to test but not good for production.

In this case that would be a problem for users with Ampere (30x0) cards, at least if they were unwilling to use a beta.
