Can I get Graphmate to work in Daz Studio 4.14?

I used Graphmate for Cameras and for Actor parameters both of which do not appear in the Timeline editor.  I also used the interpolator opptions (linear, etc).

Graphmate worked fine in Daz Studio 4.12.  I downloaded Graphmate and it is in the plugins but it does not show up as a pane option.

If not, can I download a prior version of Daz Sutio?

  • If someone else does not answer first, I can give it a try tonight. I have had Graphmate since 4.9 and I have the 4.14 beta installed and functioning.

Graphmate and Keymate are included in DAZ Studio since some version of 4.12(?). No need to install the plugin. They are available in the Timeline, but Graphmate might be collapsed by default. Look for the expansion Handle at the bottom of the Timeline. And of course you need to have an animated property selected to see anything.

Edit to add: It is now called the Graph Editor and this video shows how to access/use it. DAZ bought Graphmate and Keymate from GoFigure. https://youtu.be/7B7I5I_C0n8

  • We shall see how it compares in 4.14. In 4.12, it had so many animation bugs that installing Keymate and Graphmate made it a much better experience even though they say it was not necessary. However, my initial test with 4.14 shows they have made a lot of improvement. But I am still curious as to whether they will load or not.

  • Okay ... I have played with this for a bit and here are my findings:

    1) I could find no obvious way to add graphmate and keymate.

    2) The functions for graphmate are there ... but if your timeline tab is on the bottom of the screen you must raise up that bar significantly (like covering half of your screen) to see the graphmate features hiding below the timeline features. I was able to move the timeline tab to my side panel and have a much better view.

    3)  You really have to go down the list to find these adjustments. I grabbed a generic character and moved 'abdomen 2'.  I had to go down under Abdomen 2 -> properties -> general/transforms/rotation -> and clik on bend, twist, or side-side to view the actual graphs. Yes, I was able to click on all three and show them at once.

Overall, I guess it really isn't that bad - it is just hiding a bit.
