Will [Ron's Rain and Water Effects] these work in GIMP?

  • The overlay images should since they are just jpgs, in general .ABR brushes do but since these specify CC2019 that may not be the case here.

    I have Gimp 2.10.22 installed currently and these brushes do work in that. I haven't tried GIMP's newest beta version. I haven't had any issues using any of the Deviney brushes inside Gimp. The things that won't work are the PS styles that are packaged with a few of the brushsets. GIMP doesn't know what to do with those. The .abr and overlay files work well.

    Adobe changed their brush format a while back.  Gimp and Affinity Photo work fine with the newer brushes, but can't import the old ones.  There are, however, some free utility programs that can convert the old brushes to PNG, and you can then make brushes out of those PNG files.
