I'm getting the following error -

GenX - Transferring morphs.
Loading target geometry ...
Loading figure ...
P:/My DAZ 3D Library/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base/Genesis.dsf
Applying shape morphs to target ...
Error loading target morph: CloneHiro3

Thank you!

Do you have the H3 shape for Genesis installed?

also check to make sure that everything is loaded into the main runtime... genx will not load things up from a supplemental runtime.

Can you be more specific - which H3 shape are you referring to?

What runtime would you consider the main runtime?

I have multiple runtimes... working, scenery, male, animals, etc. So, I personally have to move my data & apply/rem folders (from the working runtime) to the primary runtime (which is the one that daz studio loads the genx program/script from.

If you only have 1 runtime then all of this doesn't matter ;)

OK I understand which runtime but the shape thing - are they referring to this product?

    ok.

    here is the product description:

This add-on extends Genesis Generation X2 (GenX2) to the world of the generation 3 figures. Now, it's possible to transfer morphs for Victoria 3, Michael 3, Stephanie 3 Petite, David 3, The Freak 3, Aiko 3, and Hiro 3 to Genesis and Genesis 2.

what that means is that genx2 doesn't automatically come with the body shapes to convert Generation 3 products. You need this addon product to be able to accomplish the conversion.

OK that is what I'm trying to do but I get the message
    GenX - Transferring morphs.
    Loading target geometry ...
    Loading figure ...
    P:/My DAZ 3D Library/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base/Genesis.dsf
Applying shape morphs to target ...
    Error loading target morph: CloneHiro3

    and
    Error loading target morph: Hiro3
when I use the cr files from the main runtime folder so I'm not sure what shape I should be using!

ok. I think I finally see the problem.
#1 Load base hiro into genx (not genesis)
#2 Apply the hiro morph (charles or whatever it's name is) that you are converting
#3 adjust the settings as needed and convert.
    #4 save save save

you really need to review the instructions for this addon.
    They are located here: http://d3d.sesseler.de/index.php?software=dazscript&product=genx

I've read them over and over and over... and I'm STILL learning. (and I use the product fairly regularly)

Thank you! I'll check that out. I believe it's the shapes that I'm missing. I thought I had them all but I don't so it's off to check my account balances!!

Does anyone know if Fantasy Shapes for Genesis work with GenX2 to transfer them to Genesis 2 male/female?

I'm not sure what add-on you mean? It seems like there are a lot of add-ons!?

The important thing to notice is whether you have genx or genx2. The addons are not interchangeable (from what I can tell).
if you are converting anything to genx 2, you will require the gen2 female/male addon.

If you are converting HIRO, go back and make sure which version you have to double check the addon that you installed is correct. The next step in your journey is making sure that all your software is working right... which version of genx do you have? did you get the right addon for it? If you are not sure, go to your account and look up your purchases!! We can then narrow things down and get you working!!

I found that I didn't have the Gen3 shapes so I picked them up yesterday.

From what I can gather I need to have all of the following items to make all versions to Genesis 1 and both of the Genesis 2 male/female shape files!

Gen 3 Iconic Shapes for Genesis
V3 and M3 Shapes for Genesis
A3 and H3 Shapes for Genesis
Stephanie 3 and FREAK Shapes for Genesis
Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female
Michael 4 for Genesis 2 Male
Generation 4 Legacy Shapes for Genesis 2 Female(s)
Generation 4 Legacy Shapes for Genesis 2 Male(s)
Generation 5 Legacy Shapes for Genesis 2 Male(s)
Generation 5 Legacy Shapes for Genesis 2 Female(s)

    Thank you!

    If I buy -

Generation 4 Legacy Shapes for Genesis 2 Female(s)
Generation 4 Legacy Shapes for Genesis 2 Male(s)
Generation 5 Legacy Shapes for Genesis 2 Male(s)
Generation 5 Legacy Shapes for Genesis 2 Female(s)

    Will I still need -
Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female
Michael 4 for Genesis 2 Male

    Thank you!

Direct from the description for Generation 4 Legacy Shapes, (both G2F and G2M) "*Note: This set contains only head and body shapes. It does not include UVs for skin textures or AutoFit clones for clothing." So yes you would need Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female and Michael 4 for Genesis 2 Male for the Auto-Fit clones and UVs.
