Those little icons all over the screen (beside the search bar and in front of the diverse entries on the page) were real symbols before DAZ changed the shop and all connected with it.. how do I get them back?
if i were new to DAZ and came here and saw little squares, after refreshing a few times and they still there, I would leave. How are you supposed to know what they are or what for?
Plus the slowness is another bad deal.
yeah, I get this also and it bugs the crap out of me. They need to move this up the priority ladder
Why? It's purely cosmetic, actual issues need fixing first.
It's not cosmetic at all. There's no label on any of those boxes so your site is not functional. What are we supposed to do - guess what every little box is?

LOL, worked for me. "Lessee, Left X-square is where Cart Icon was, Right X-sqare is where Blue-person Menu Dropdown Icon was. So I will test my hypothesis that Left X-square = Cart & Right X-square = Dropdown by clicking on them. Yup, Left = Cart, Right =Dropdown. Confirmed." And even though I do have a science degree, I am not a logical Vulcan type; I'm 100% Dr. McCoy.
I get the squares in the forum but none in the store proper - given that the forums are a sliver of users I can understand it being low priority - even if i do find it a but annoying
It's probably a symbol font that isn't being loaded.
Actually, having inspected the page, there's a whole bunch of fonts that aren't loading successfully. They're all supposedly on 'cdn.daz3d.com', there's two fonts in the Gotham family that aren't where they're supposed to be, and several .woff and .ttf fonts called 'fontdaz_3b9a0cf01c922aa5a9e42a3a5196f150' which presumably contain the missing symbols. They're all shown as 'not found', so I guess they just haven't been pushed to the CDN (or the CDN isn't finding them where it expects to find them on the back end).
You probably didn't need to know that. Sorry, carry on.

And now that You did the job of the DAZ Shop web team for them, they should be able to repair the sourcecode in an iffy, right?

it's actually a little disconcering that the forums are just a sliver of users... I seem to recall back when the forums would run up lots of pages in just a day or two and you had to go back to find your comment .. now they seem to hang around a lot.

At work on W10+Chrome the icons are visible in the store but not in forum, they still work on both.
At home on W7+Yandex, the icons are visible and working on both.
Oddly, the icons are broken on Chrome, but work correctly with MS Edge.
I use Edge as my default but nope, have to diagree. On my end I see little boxes where there used to be icons! Interestingly enough though these are mostly throughout the forums. Why does the new store affect the forums? Seems odd to me! LOL
Also, DAZ, HONEY CHILD, new emoticons please. The ones that you give us to use are both hideous and limited! Thank you!

I bet the DAZ web team already knows this stuff.
The thing is, I can identify a symptom -- icons not showing up -- and a cause -- fonts not found. But behind that cause is the actual problem, which is whatever's stopping the fonts from being found. And that problem might be very trivial or it might be very thorny. I suspect that the DAZ web team already have an idea of what the actual problem is and they may even know how to fix it, but they have a priority list that starts with putting out the things that are actually on fire. And, as a business, anything that affects the store (rather than the forums) has to come first.

Agreed, the previous forum software had better emoticons (until an update broke them). Several years ago I discovered Cosgan's Smilies. I regularly use half a dozen of their categories, and there must be hundreds of graphics overall. Easy to use, I just place them as individual graphics using the picture button in the toolbar here. Most of them are animated, and every now and then a batch of new ones gets added.

Daz3D's IT people will have to fix it. It is one of the things broken in the store migration and very low on the priority list, is what I have read.

Fair point Richard, I guess since that is the only thing affecting my DAZ experience it's a bigger deal to me.

Hmmm, not broken on my Chrome. Under Win10-Pro version 20H2.

Until this week they were working fo rme on Firefox (Version 82.03) but now they're gone

I kept bookmarking threads by mistake
I thought I'm the only one with no symbols in the forums, doesn't seem to be the urgent fix for DAZ.
but it bothers me somehow...

broken on windows 10 Pro 20h2 Chrome, edge and also ipad
looks like a site that's been hacked to the hilt.

I tend to think of those as menus. I click on them and stuff happens. I'm used to the site already with with whatever those are.
"Cosmetic" would mean we still have an idea of their functionality even without the icons.
The cart icon isn't even visible. If I were new to DAZ, how would I check out?

Windows 7 with Chrome browser and no icons, just little plain boxes here too.
Browsers that show the icons probably just have them cached. That might not last forever.
this is so annoying. Im sure very offputting for brand new users too.
I still get icons with IE11 and without any warnings I'm still using IE11 !
