I can't get the octane plug in to show up in daz under installed programs or in the window pane. The installer says that it is activated though. Can anyone help me troubleshoot?

Did you install the DS plugin version? Or maybe the stand alone trial? Where does it say "installed"?

Do you mean Help>About Installed Plug-ins? How did you install, and if it wa stand-alone are you sure the path was correct?
It is not in the installed Help>About plugins nor as a pane. It's weird that I got it to install and show up once. Then it stopped showing up.
I installed the Stand Alone trial from the Octane site. I was following the tutorial from DAZ
Is there another way to install? My Daz studio is installed to the default location.
Thanks for the help. I will attach some screen shots in the next post.
Here are the screenshots.
That looks correct.
Do you have both, the Offcial Realease and the Beta of DS installed? If yes, have you looked at both? In my case the install went to the release version, not the Beta.
Also: Which version(s) of DS are you running?

Ah ha! Thanks thd777 for prompting me to look further. The 4.14 version of Daz is installed at an odd location.
C:\Daz 3D\Applications\64-bit\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4
I found it by looking where the start menu icon pointed. Thanks thd777 and Richard for prompting me to look further!
