there is a little mistake in Zeddicuss'

police prop  ... There is 2x 6f6 (where 1 should be 6f0)

We hope it can be fixed AND that the inch thing can also be in CM

If necessary, something like that you could probably copy from the correct one and paste it over the error using MS Paint if you need it fixed quickly. Its temporary, but should work until the PA is able to get to it & then send the update to Daz.

As for wanting it in Centimeters(metric), that doesn't make sense in context with the prop and is suppose to give a general height rather than being more specific with a smaller scale. I don't know how it is in other countries, but here in the US, if a cop asks you how tall the alleged criminal was that you saw and you respond "Oh, about 184 cm" or "Just under 2 meters", he/she is probably going to look at you funny.

I should also add that its better to link the product page https://www.daz3d.com/z-police-props-and-poses-for-genesis-8 itself rather than the PA's product page so they don't have to sift through 1 or more pages of products to find it.

Looking at your picture, 3'6" has the same problem.

You should probably file a support ticket because there is no guarantee the PA will see the post in a timely fashion.

Something ike this I would just fix in photoshop or GIMP rather than wait for an official fix which might not ever come.

You DO understand that there are quite a few people living in other countries than the US who a) use DAZ3D, b) do renders themed about police stuff and might c) would love to have props that would work for a system that is used about everywhere in the world except the US (= metric system)?

So for me (!) in context with the poses and (most) props in this package, I would LOVE to see versions of that height board and the mugshot board to be able to be used for renders not supposed to be in the US. And luckily I'd know how to change them textures myself... still...

Outside the US, the funny look would come from the four in 184, as normally you would say "around 180" or if you go up a notch "around 185"

So much this.  The ID cards don't even include names, so they'd need editing too even if everything else made sense.

Also, there are free versions of this height chart available.  https://www.sharecg.com/v/69559/view/21/DAZ-Studio/Measuring-Wall

Well, you forgot about Myanmar and Liberia here.cheeky

Some stubborn Brits might still cling to the Imperial system too, but pretty much anywhere else all around the world it is Metric all the way.

I've been using the free MWall 2.0.

    https://www.deviantart.com/spyrorue/art/MWall-2-0-for-Daz-Studio-793218213

    Very nice flexible prop.

I think it is good to know for all who have the Police props from Z.

    Hello :)

I just spotted your post on the forum regarding Z Police Props and Poses.

Just to let you know, I have submitted a fix already to the Daz team and I have also included PSD's of the backdrop and the plaque's so those things can easily be changed to different metrics etc.

Hopefully they will process it fairly quickly and those changes can be downloaded soon.

        All the best,

        Ava - Zeddicuss

If you drag out your favourite search engine and look for "non metric countries" you will find three, USA, Myanmar and Liberia.  There are roughly 200 countries in the world. Granted, some are only partialy metric, but still.

    Hey!
    No Measure Shaming!
You could just as easily google, "Countries in the world who have put men on the moon using the metric system"....

Well, actually, there would be one entry in the list, that may surprise you: USA

  • Resurrecting an old thread from the netherworld...

Picked this up during yesterday's sale and noticed that while the duplicative heights (i.e. two 3'-6"s)) are gone, the replacement measurements use 5 inches as the halfway point, instead of the correct 6 inches.

Oh well. Was happy to see that the download included .psd Photoshop files for the mugshot information placards, making them easy enough to customize.

(ah, I see the Forum photo upload feature is still banjaxed, I suppose you'll just have to imagine a mugshot wall with markings like 4'-0", 4'-5", and 5'-0", then. :-/ )
