Solved - Weird eyes

KC Riley-GyerKC Riley-Gyer Posts: 170

Working on an image and was doing a test render when I noticed them looking like the image below. I didn't touch the eyes beforehand but after I saw the weirdness, I reapplied the eye texture materials preset but it did not correct the problem. The image below is a render after trying to reapply the preset.

Please help because I don't know what to do.

Edit: After closing DS, I remembered something I had to do so reopened the scene. Did what I needed to and did a test render and all is fine. Don't know what caused the glitch but it fixed itself after shutting it down.

It's called a "white-out" and is caused by a missing or corrupt shader .SDL file, as it fixed itself with just a restart I believe your surface is using the ShaderMixer (or ShaderBuilder), it doesn't come with any .SDL files, instead it generates temp .SDL files at render time which are then deleted when you close DS, it's rare for these files to be corrupted as they are compiled but it does happen.

Oh okay. I would like to say that what you said wasn't the cause but I can't guarantee it. The eyes are from a DAZ product, that's all I know lol.

Oh, and that I have never had the problem before.
