Changing email - not receiving the confirmation email

I am trying to change my account's email. I enter the new email, and the page loads fine. I go back into account details and it still says the old email, but has underneath it:

* new email address waiting for confirmation

Haven't received a confirmation email on either the old email, or the new one. Is there an issue at the moment with Daz's automated emails?

Kind regards.

EDIT: Just confirming hours later, there is still no email to complete the change. Checked both old and new emails, nothing in either.

On second thoughts, now I am apprehensive to change email address of my account. I searched for similar problems on Daz Forums, and came up with results of DIM being messed up if you change your account email.

So never mind, I think I shall leave the email address unchanged after all.

Although it still says this beneath email field in Edit Profile:

    * new email address waiting for confirmation

I'm worried I stuffed up the account trying to change email. Is it ok to leave it like that even with that asterisk message?

    Sorry, I worry too much.

You might want to make a purchase, even of a free item, just to see which email gets the order confirmation.

    Thanks for the tip.

I have since gone into Edit Email again, and made sure it's the old address, and typed submit. Hoping that will reverse the request and just leave it as the old email.

I purchased a free item and the order still came through to the old address. So that's good.

Just hoping that asterisk message goes away, and then I can relax, lol.

You get confirmation mails? Since the start of the new store I don't get any...

  • Bumping this thread again because I'm still concerned, and would like staff reassurance over the issue.

That writing is still written under my email address in Edit Account:

    * new email address waiting for confirmation

I made sure the old email is written in the field, then clicked 'Submit' again to keep it as the old one, as I've made the decision I don't wanna update email address after all.

Just want to make sure it's not going to be changed. It's been 12 hours since I've done all this, I'm wondering why Daz doesn't have a system in place like other online stores? Where if you want to change email (and back again), it's instant?

Kind regards and thanks in advance for any clarification.

This isn't a question the forum can answer.

They take a bit longer than they used to, but I've been getting them.

years and years ago my Yahoo mail got hacked and DAZ got spammed along with everyone else, they were quite quick to let me change that oneblush

I guess I'll just submit a ticket and see what they say. Or am I just best to ignore it and quit worrying?

As I said, my account's working fine and no issues. Just that little asterisk line that won't go away is bugging me.

Never mind. I found on the Help Desk pages, the following:

How do I change the Email Address on my Daz 3D Account?

In order to change your email address, please go to your Daz 3D account page. You will need to login with your current email address and password. Under Account Information, you will see your current name and email on the left hand side. Click on "Edit" to the right of name information. Type in the new email address and click "Save". You will be sent an Email Change Confirmation email to your new email address. Click on the link provided in the email to Confirm the Email Change. This will enable you to login with your new email address and/or password.

So I guess I have nothing to worry about as long as I don't approve the change on my new email, which I won't. Well, I didn't actually get an email change message come through on either email address, so there's that.

But all good, I can ignore this little asterisk happily now.

Probably in my mind I just made it a bigger issue than it is.

  • I get an order confirm Email but not the mail with a link to change the Email address. I don't know what is wrong with daz3d.

    I'm also curious about this.

I want to change my e-mail address, but I'm also stuck with the * new email address waiting for confirmation thing, and still haven't recieved a confirmation e-mail for my new e-mail address. And I'm not sure how or if changing my e-mail would affect DIM.

I've had this problem for several days now. I put in a ticket, but got no response. The problem for me is that my old email no longer exists. I changed providers and my old email account was closed. I can't get any email from my old address. I have multiple places to change my email address and this one is making me a little crazy. I can't get any emails from DAZ at all because they don't have my new email address yet, as it won't let me change it. I put in a ticket on it, but of course because it will be sent to my old address which no longer exists.  frown

  • I believe Daz is aware of the issue with changing emails and is working on it.

  • So, is there any word on this?

My new e-mail address is getting all the newsletters, but my old e-mail address is still recieving all the receipts.

Have you opened a Sales support ticket?

    I haven't, but I'll try it now.

I changed my email address about a week ago. I had to do the entire process through tickets to Sales Support. They were great and the who thing was swapped over in a day. Support ticket is definitely the way to go.

Just last week I had the same issue that ironclawxii has. I contacted support and put in a ticket. They helped me get it set up and I now have my email address changed.

You WILL need to adjust your DIM to show your new email account and your password.

And log into Studio again to get CMS working.

I'm returning after a hiatus of several years and trying to update my email and not getting any confirmation emails even after days waiting. I've tested the emails I'm trying to use and all my test emails arrive within minutes. Is this a known issue? Anyone ever find an official response about this?

Both my old and new email addresses are functional  except through this site.

  • Arriving here in 2023 with the same issue - so that's concerning...
