Weird skin splotches ...

Can anyone tell me what might be causing these weird, red skin splotches in this shot? Only light used is a HDRI of the sky and sun. Tried using the base G8F skin mat as well as skin mats from other characters and they all come out the same. Help!

Are you using a geo-shell on her? Sometimes the makeups are geoshell and if you are clicked on the shell when you add another material it can mess it up and give results like that.

Yes, there are geoshell elements (stockings, eyes, etc.) but not on the skin itself that I'm aware of. I'm leaning toward a translucence problem since the color of the splotches seems to match the subsurface translucence color. If I change that color the color of the splotches changes but still doesn't match up with the skin color (and the lip color turns to white). Aargh.
