Another with a "building interface" problem

Hello.
After I downloaded and installed the New Daz Studio beta (the 4.14), I've realized that when I execute the program, the "Building interface" stays freezed a couple of hours, and when the window loads, it freezes until another hour has passed before i can use properly the software. Anyone knows why happens this?

Is this just the bare UI, or is it loading as cene at the same time? What are yiour system specs?

In relation with the other question, is just the UI. I didn't load any scene.
So it is showing the splash screen, with Building Interface? That isn't necessarily the cause of the delay - not everything, I think, getss ent to the splash screen. It may be worth checking the log file, Help>Troubleshooting>View Log File or go to
%AppData%/daz 3d/studio4 public build/log.txt
in a file browser - look at the time stamps down the margin to see if you can see what is taking a long time.

Not an expert log reader ... looks to me like you've got it looking for D/S content over on the cloud. Not a good place to install it.
I think that this is a more common problem. I don't know if that's related with my issue (i'm not a log expert just like you).
That doesn't appear to show any issue, it covers less than a minute of activity. Look at the time/date stamps on the left of each line - you want to find the palce there's a big jump or the place where these is a series of messages spread over the extended waiting period.

Why don't you use DS in offline-mode? Disable everything that requires a connection to DAZ servers, be it polling for updates or whatever reason. They are still fixing problems over there.

The logfile that you attached, practically was about connection problems - From 2020-11-25 08:47:48.353 to 2020-11-25 10:45:33.685 (=1 hour and 58 minutes), only connection related problems, something is trying to make a connection without success and therefore the process of opening DS is in limbo

Well... it looks like the problem is due to the creation of render icons. I've made some research on this, but I haven't found an answer to this.
Hi. I'm experiencing a long time on "Building Interface" step, too. But it's because Daz is pointing to a defective HD. I've disabled the directories in that HD, re-installed everything but it's still slow.
Monitor the program loading on Task Manager. If some HD is 100% it's a case of a defective disk. But I don't know how to avoid that.
just give your rebuilt drive/replacement drive the same drive ID (you can assign it in computer management ... that way you don't have to dig in the secret hidden roaming highlow folder to change the daz pointer.
BTW just took me 5 minutes to get back to this page because of a "cloudflare" error saying daz wasn't responding.
You need everything the program needs to run on your computer depending on the net for timely responses is optimistic.

I put a couple of the photo processing programs from Topaz last year... and while they will continue to run even if I just use my old versions (not buying updates) but it runs home to check to see if it's "real" occasionally and if it can't it will stop working until it does.
Give Daz credit .. the program will complain if it's configuration has changed but it will still run.
