Anyone know where I can get a sleeveless leather jacket for M4 or F5?

Thanks!

This is what Smay's leather jacket for genesis looks with the sleeves made invisible.. it doesn't come with separate a material zone for the arms so you have to make one with the polygon group editor function.. at least in DS, not sure how to do it if you're using it with dson importer for poser. (beyond saving it back to the library and making a new poser CF)

I purchased SMay's leather jacket (for DS, not Poser), but the actual wardrobe prop didn't come with it, for some reason. Just the material textures. Did contact the creator, but they weren't able to resolve it, sadly.

Did uninstall and redownload, several times, but that didn't correct it. Even did it just now, to make sure, but it still only has the materials included. I know there's a texture expansion set for it, which I bought at the same time, but it's not that I'm referring to.

Of course, back then, I had no idea about refunds. :)

No problem with any of SMay's other products. I love the rest I've got from them!

Ghosttech007: Depending on what you've got and how you want that vest styled, you could also use a different vest, if you've got any, and a leather shader as a texture replacement, if you have both of those.

In the image below, far left is Outrage M4 (available elsewhere) with DAZ Leather Factory Shaders. Middle is Men's Night Life which looks surprisingly good with Marieah's Leatherize shader. And the waistcoat from the Sickleyield/Marieah Tuxedo with the Mach Pack from Fabricator looks ... it's very ... well ...it's a look, anyway. (The guy holding the bottle is an F5, by the by. Did you mean F5, or F4?)

Xenomorphine, Did you file a support ticket with DAZ? That sounds like something that DAZ itself should have fixed, not Smay. It's an incomplete product download. Even though it's been a while, if you file a ticket with them for that now (with Sales, I should think), they should be able to address that for you.

Strange.. I just downloaded and installed it before I posted that 'cause I'm on a laptop with next to no content. I just downloaded the files though, didn't use the program. "Leather Jacket for Genesis 16.23 MB"

    Yep, that's the one. :)

Zero wardrobe prop. All of the textures, though. SMay couldn't figure out why. Never known anyone else who has it for DS, so, wasn't able to verify with anyone else if they had this problem or not.

hmm.. I did notice the jacket was in people/genesis/clothes and the mats for it were in people/genesis/materials.. so I moved 'em in with the figure..

Ahh! You've finally solved it! Thank you!

Wasn't even looking in that direction... Went through 'products' and the A-Z thing. Only shows the materials in that methodology. The route you pointed me to has a folder with 'SMay' on it, rather than 'Leather Jacket' and it seems to have the prop in there.

Yeesh... All this time! At last, I can use the darn thing. :-D

I've never been able to think of a reason why anyone might have ever considered this The Right Thing To Do for any content that doesn't need to follow the Poser libraries folder system. I know most items these days (only "most"?) use subfolders of the one product folder so everything's in one place, but there's an amazing amount of things I bought in the first six months or so of using D|S4 where I was still stumbling across bits and pieces of related accessories up to a year later, tucked away in unobvious corners of the content folder.

Between older stuff, newer stuff, and freebie stuff, I've come to rely heavily on the "new item" blue highlight on folders. Install stuff, check for new content, go to any folder showing up in blue, categorize the items according to my own preferences, and mark them as seen. If I didn't have my own categorizations for things it wouldn't work, but this way I don't have to remember where things are stored, I just have to look for where I categorized them. Figuring out my own reasoning is much easier than figuring out several dozen other peoples' reasoning.
