Don't want stripes on Lilith 6 (SOLVED)

I have an issue with Lilith 6 that seems very weird to me. She gets stripes on her arms lika a zebra.

I haven't a clue what causes them or how to get rid of them. They only appear in the render, not in the viewport. What's even more strange is that the stripes appearence is dependent on both camera angle and distance.

As you can see in the pics there is only a hint of stripes on the close up and more apparent from some distance. I am very curious what causes this but most of all I want to get rid of the stripes.

Any ideas?

Does anyone know what this "Shading Rate" setting is for and why it seems to be getting set too high on new figures?

Assuming you mean for Age of Armor's subsurface shader look here:

    http://www.ageofarmour.com/3d/tutorials/AoA_subsurface_shader_help.html#Subsurface_Scattering

Generally if you are zoomed in on a figure, raise the shading rate. If you're zoomed out, lower it. It helps make things look better in close up but causes that 'zebra' look when far away.

The default setting is pretty much a "low quality, fast render" setting. If you want better quality, especially in lighting and shadows, you need to tweak the value, but remember this will affect render time.

Took me a while to find that out, I think I eventually cottoned on after a series of posts like yours — and the very helpful replies — in the old forums.

Still not sure, why DAZ is going for 'low quality, fast render' as their default. At least, they should consider adding 'High Quality' presets to their figures.

And while we're at it, I don't know why they all use the same Subsurface ID, either.
