fbx export clothes/hair issues

Hello, my question is, when you see the image I attached : can you tell me what didnt I do?

I created my character, add him clothes/hair and put some animation, just morphs in this case.
I want to export that to 3ds by fbx (or c4d but c4d doesnt take morphs just motions).
Finally I want to export it to after effect.

I guess the problem is my objects are not fit properly on my genesis but that looks good, I forget something but what is it? I looked for that but I didn't find this kind of problem with this version of daz studio (the latest).

This problem appears without animation too, clothes/hair => no fit.

This is the only way I found to create a short movie... so I hope it s possible that works :)

Thank you for your help.

No answers because it's a stupid question or because nobody knos this problem?

I found the "static heometry for clothes" so for clothes it s okay but not for hair... Why?

Did you have the correct item selected in your SCENE PANE before you loaded the clothes or added the hair. (i.e. selected genesis BEFORE loading clothes) so that they are grouped in the scene hierarchy correctly? They should appear UNDER genesis. That way they move as a group when Genesis moves, otherwise they're independent items and don't move together.

When exporting with FBX you could select "Merge clothes with Model".
O.K. if you don't want dynamic cloth or your character to remove an item of apparel.

    Hope that helps

Yes the hierarchy is good, clothes and hair are children of my genesis, idem for merge.

Actually now I just have one problem, clothes it's okay but hair absolutely not, hair follow my character during a motion but not in the good position, it's very weird.

I think I will you png sequences without environment and no blue and import that into after effect.... I don't have other ideas.

Has this been working for you before?
    Is this a recent problem?
I only ask because there's been a recent release of Studio. Just wondered if it's something to do with the update.

If it was working before and has suddenly stopped, it's a possible cause.

Have you tried the same thing with a different character model? Do you get the same result?

I am a newbie with daz, so I downloaded the last version and this problem appears since the beginning with each characters, each hair.

It's really weird, hair is just not at the good place....

There's a free piece of software called Jing available here - http://www.techsmith.com/jing.html
You can record your screen with it. (You need to register, but they never contact you and will not Spam you)
If you could record how your setting things up with it and attach the recorded .SWF file to a post, I may be able to help more.

    Time ago ..

Export FBX from Daz is a ... [profanity removed]..

In my workflow, is better export as Collada (Dae)-active the animation and morphs.., and, then, import to Autodesk FBX converter. in format 2013 binary. Test always in Autodesk FBX review. This tools are free, and a good testing before export a any software like Blender, Max, Maya.. etc...

But, take care about the hierarchy..! :D
