Unable to export head specific morphs after 4.12.2.6?
Sometime after Studio 4.12.2.6, it seems that Daz removed the ability to export morphs that were located on specific body parts. I noticed this in the new version when trying to export a character that I had used before (it is an older cartoon character designed for Poser but with an install in studio). In the export parameters, morphs like "head." no longer appear, for example, on Genesis 8 only morphs listed as Genesis8Male.xxx appear
I've long had a pipeline for motion capture where I export the head. morphs so I don't have to write multiple rules to exclude certain morphs that I don't want. Is there a way to get around this?
I tried using the daz to unreal plugin, which before had allowed me to export whatever morphs I wanted, but at least on the characters that I tried (which are technically not compatible with the plugin), it would only export those that were located on the root of the figure itself. I'm going to investigate a little further to see if this is the case also with gen3/8 figures
Fortunately I do have a machine with the beta 4.12.2.6 installed, so I haven't lost this ability completely, but I'm curious on why this was removed.

I haven't been able to upgrade any head morphs that push the parameters of head sizes.. neither genX or riversofts new scripts can do them... the new export may include the same checking for out of parameter settings.

my characters were build on genesis and the large head morphs can't be moved up beyond genesis.
Don't know if this workaround will do anything for you.
This is Ripley, she is gen1 with a shrunken invible body parented on to the neck of a gen8 with a shrunken invisible head.
I do get to use gen8 poses and occasionally have to tweak the head location but overall this works well.
I have about 20 characters redone this way
