I just wanted to let artist know that I think there is a problem with Deco Mirror Ps file when used in Daz Studios 4.
I have latest version of Daz Studios. I played a bit with Deco mirror and could not get materials to work, the mirror loads fine but material does not apply. I download the Daz version and it works like a charm.

PS means those are the poser files. If they are poser materials (rather than mat pose files) then no they won't work in Studio. Since there are proper studio files then that is not an issue.

If you want to let DAZ know, you should submit a request to them (rather than here in the forums, which they may or may not see). You can do that at https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/requests/new .Set the "Contact Department" dropdown to "technical support", and it will probably help them more quickly identify the exact product if you also gave them the product SKU or a link to the product page, along with exact steps to reproduce the issue.

It also wouldn't hurt to quick re-download and test yourself in case the product has changed since you originally purchased it if you didn't just download it recently already.

Thanks for advice. True, probably for an item like this I should download and stick with Ds file. Since its an object which uses light raytrace( different lightning than poser). I will do that, I forgot about zendesk. Deco Mirror Ds is working as it should, I redownloaded the Deco mirror Ps(for testing purposes) and still have problem with mats, I will send a ticket to zendesk

I'm not sure what your expecting them to fix. There are studio files for studio use and poser files for poser use. The poser (Ps) files are not needed for studio users. They may contain procedural materials or something else that does not translate to studio at all.

I love using the Ps files more than Ds files in my Daz Studios Pro 4.6. The reason maybe that I'm old school or just old. I like organizing my files. I almost never have a problem using Ps files in Daz Studios. Its also convenient for me because I have Poser 10 which I use for animations. I have way to many files everywhere in "My Library" Ds files and Ps files in "Runtime" are neat and organize. Hope this helps.

    Example:
Daz Studios Folder Files: Ps Runtime Folder Files:
    -Animals -Geometries Characters
    -Camera Preset -Libraries-------------> Hair
    -data -Support Pose
    -Daz Studio Tutorials -Textures Props
    -Environments
    -Light Presets
    -People
    -Preset
    -Props
    -ReadMe's
    -Scene Builder
    -Scene
    -Scripts
    -Shader presets
    -Uninstallers

Often the poser files look bad in studio because they are not created to be used with the program. The specularity, bump and displacement settings don't come over to studio properly and if there are any advanced nodes used those are ignored by the import into studio. That is why some characters seem to be missing bump maps for example. The surface settings are not optimized for studio and since they also include correct files for the program in the DS files there should be no expectation of the poser files working in studio. It is not a bug or error that the poser files don't function properly, that is why there are studio files created for products. The reverse is true for products that include the poser files, they are there to take advantage of what the poser material room offers that wouldn't transfer out properly from studio studio surfaces.

You are right. Maybe with the Ps files I been using in Daz, I might not had been getting the best quality in my renders. Because of the specularity, bump, displacement settings, lights and other stuff that's handle differently by Daz and Poser programs. :)
