Replicating surfaces and textures, etcetera on props
I'm trying to replicate surfaces and textures from existing props to new ones. (See attached picture)
The wall in the back is what I'm going for. It is part of the package "Private Library". I like the stone look and I am trying to replicate it on the new wall segment in the front.
This is an example, of what I want. I'm trying to figure out the process.
I managed to go to the "Surfaces" tab and "copy object surface" and then went to the target wall, and did a paste. It worked. Sort of. It looks like I managed to paste the grey of the stone, but not the lines of stone to form the actual look.
And I'm not even close to the white molding.
So, I'm asking for help on how to do this. But I want to learn. I'm not even sure of what to name what I'm doing. I've been watching tutorials and videos, and everything I come across deals with figures, not props and such.
So if there are tutorials out there. or even the right terminology I can use search on, would be helpful.
Thank-you,
Lyndon

The uvmap of the new wall would have to match some area of the old wall to get a better match.
One could also try making a Shader Preset from the old wall and applying that preset to the new wall.
Also check the tiling on the Parameters Tab - sometimes a little adjustment there will make for passable results.
It is hard to tell what kind of texture had your original package as if it was all; in the single UV map or everything has separate materials.
to get some idea what is going on try to tun on UV map view on Daz viewport as then you will see which part of your texture file is used
It is now hard to tell if your old surface was tiled and the new surface now has just one tile
or maybe your new surface has some kind of very abnormal UV map where everything is crammed into one picture and wall just takes a small piece of that texture map. so in result, some tiny fraction of your texture good zoomed and the rest is ignored
