Downloading Issues?

in The Commons
Hi, is anyone having issues downloading product from the store? I have placed 2 orders in the past few days and some files download and others fail. Its not a bandwidth problem, downloading from other sites is fine.
I thought it might have been just a one off thing but I splaced an order today and having the same problems. I have created a ticket but response is not forthcoming so far so thought I'd try here if anyone had any ideas or was having the same problem

Yes. I am getting lots of 'Download Failed' errors.
Which products? How are you donwloading?
The Awful Emperor HD for Genesis 8 Male part 2 ( part one downloaded fine )
dForce Medieval Barmaid Textures : Weary ( the actual dress product downloaded fine)
in both cases the other items in the order downloaded fine but not these items. I am using the manual downloads. I have tried the install manager just in case but that didnt work either
Parts 1 and 6 of Now-Crowd Billboards - First Responders, Police, sku 70271, fail to download in DIM. They also won't download manually.
Also, although download methods show on the product page there are no downloads available for Now-Crowd Billboards - Ancient Egyptians (sku 78240) after purchase. Not in DIM or manually from my product library.
Plus I am trying to reinstall everything with DIM on my second computer and am getting hundreds of 'Download Failed' items.
I've had problems with some items in DIM recently. Usually after trying a few times they worked. Sometimes I had to wait for a day or two before they would download.
My problem now is with the Resource Saver Shaders volume 3. This is not showing up in DIM and the page in my library doesn't have any download links so I can't even try to download it.
The downloads avaialble but failing is something that seems to hapen more or elss randomly - I know Daz has been looking at it, the problem is findinfg an example that is consistent enough to go over with the service provider.
The absolutely missing downloads I am reproting.
I've been trying and trying all evening, took about 3 hours constant trying and I finally got one of those items to successfully download
Please keep reporting these issues here in the forums, if the download fails constantly and immediately or it isn't showing up in DIM/Product Librarythat is a different problem that should be able to be resolved by someone on the product team quickly.
The issues where it will get partway through downloading a file before stalling out and failing are the ones that I am trying to track down right now. Opening a ticket for those stalled-out ones is sadly not going to be helpful because I need to confirm the issues quickly so it can be debugged while it is still a problem.
I am actively monitoring threads like this to try and find some good examples to run through with our cloud download provider.
Quite a lot of issue swill auto-correct, as time goes by. Especially DIM downloads. The majority of these will be downloadable within a few hours. From an external view, it seems that the "iron" that is conatining the binaries, may be overloaded.
What really concerns me is the amount of recent new releases with no way to download at all. Almost every day, at least one item shows that behaviour. Is this a technical issues? Or did someone at DAZ not do his/her homework?
Latest on my download of Resource Saver Shaders volume 3. It's in DIM now and has manual download links. I downloaded it using DIM. File 3 of 4 took three attempts to download and it has now downloaded and installed. When it was failing it wasn't an immediate failure, it got a long way into the download before failing. The other three files downloaded first time.
That kind of confirms my idea that the hardware hosting the binaries is overloaded.... As everyone that has bought that product is eager to download, it will hit the server a bit....
UPDATE:
After many more tries I finally was able to download Parts 1 and 6 of Now-Crowd Billboards - First Responders, Police.
Also Now-Crowd Billboards - Ancient Egyptians finally showed up for download. However ,3 of the parts required many tries before they were successfully downloaded.
We have made improvements to our tooling and process for files being uploaded for new products. When they were uploading a batch of files for products the error wouldn't always cause the remaining files to not upload (multi-threaded), so to the end user it would seem like the whole batch would be a success even if a file in the middle failed. Additionally the admin interface for products didn't clearly show what files were attached in an easy to check way. These have both been resolved in addition to additional steps in checking the files before signing off on the product.
We are also working on additional tooling to provide an automated (instead of manual) checklist for the next days worth of launches to look at both the promotional banners going live, the products going live and the sales rules going live, and having the system call out any abnormalities (Say, for example something that happened recently was where a product was scheduled to launch at 12:30 AM instead of 12:00 AM) so we can get a single complete and preflight check of what will be happening for the upcoming days. The old store wasn't well enough integrated to build a system like that so it's one of the many reasons on our end we are excited about the new store.
So, yes we have heard the issues you have been having and have implemented some solutions and are working on further solutions.
Is the Daz server down? I just tried to connect DIM to it and it is unable to make a connection.
Thanks a lot for clarifying. I would really appreciate if there is more communication from DAZ. I do understand that your current priority is fixing things, but having customers sit and wait for (in my case) more than 36 hrs until a product becomes available for download creates unneccessary frustration for customers. I can live with an "okay, guys, we have a technical issue here, wer are currently working on it, may take some hours, sorry", but silence is creating a feeling like "DAZ does not care".
