Applying Preset Poses?

Under the "File, Save As" pull-down Menu, I find I can save a "Pose Preset."  In my (ignorant?) little mind, this should mean I'm saving a pose for a particular Daz figure -- G8F or G8M, say -- and that I could then apply that pose to that figure type in future scenes/renders.  To my way of thinking, this should be as simple as applying purchased poses to figures from my Smart Content pane.  But I find no obvious way to apply a "Pose Preset" that I've saved to a given figure.

Well, sorta':

I tried using the "merge" pull-down menu -- i.e. to merge a saved pose preset on a figure -- and it posed the figure correctly -- but turned all the figure surfaces totally black.

Do I misunderstand what a "Pose Preset" is, from my discussion above -- or is it possible to do what I'm describing?  If it is possible -- how is it done?

  • You should be able to aply them by simple double-click on the file in a content pane, but the method you are using should work.
