How can I stop a figure from getting moved by a dforce object.

Hi,

I'm new to DAZ Studio and I have an (for me) annoying problem. I made a scene with a g8 figure sitting in bed. I want want a blanket lying  partly on the shins and the bed like it slipped down while going from lie to sit. I have a dforce blanket and when I start the simulation the blanket falls down and the first frames are ok, but then the blanket starts to move the figure partially and pushes the figure through the bed. How can I stop the figure from moving ? The pic shows two frames of the dforce simulation - the startframe and the 10th frame.

BTW - the same objects just in the pose with the figure in the bed on his side sleeping and the blanket covering the whole body except the head worked fine.

  • Did you position the figure using the figure node? Try doing ti with the hip bone instead.

  • I made the scene with the figure sleeping in bed and just applied to the sleeping figure a sitting pose that I changed for my requirements (Essentials 8 Base Pose sitting C). Only needed to adjust arms, legs and head a little. The positioning etc was ok. Don't know if just applying a new pose uses the hip or the figure node.

But I did make the figure, made the sleeping pose and then moved the figure via the figure node into the right place in the bed. And dforce with the blanket in that sleeping position worked.
