Using Victoria 4.2 Bodysuit with Gen2f

I need to use the Victoria 4.2 Bodysuit (which is a conforming piece) with the Genesis 2 Female model. About 99.9% of the clothing I use on Gen2f transfers on with no problem, but this item does not. Is there a specific protocol for using this item with Gen2f?

Thanks much for any help you can give.

Can you give more specific information? Generally speaking, you can use the autofit to make any V4 item work wonders on Genesis 2, so if you're having problems it might help to know where the big problems lie so we can give you a better way to go about fixing it.

Without knowing what's going wrong with the fitting, it's very hard to suggest a remedy.

As HoF says, we could do with more information?

I just tried this, using V4 in the drop-down list, and 'Full Body' and it looks OK to me, no poke through or other problems.

G2F does not include a V4 clone for Auto-Fit, you need Victoria 4 To Genesis to use V4 textures and clothing on G2F.

Or you autofit from V4 to Genesis and save, and then autofit from Genesis to Genesis2 ...

Hi, guys. Thanks for answering. My problem seems very specific to the Victoria 4.2 Bodysuit. Any other old clothing item I use, the Auto-Fit window comes right up and I'm able to fit it to my Gen2f.

When I try to use the Victoria 4.2 Bodysuit the Auto-Fit option does not come up and the suit just wraps around the figure like the attached image. I uninstalled and re-installed the bodysuit in case it might be corrupted, but still no luck.

I do have Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female as suggested but its options seem to be about transferring UV maps ("New Surfaces for Old" and ), I don't see anything that seems to be about fitting clothing.

The product info does list a "Victoria 4 Autofit Clone Shapes" but nothing on that comes up in my Content or Smart Content when I look for it.

I've also simply tried dialing in the V4 body and head morph shapes under Parameters but that didn't do anything either.

I'm not a total DAZ newb but clones, etc. are things I haven't really messed with.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have a completely different icon to me for loading the V4 bodysuit, mine is Grey in colour?

Perhaps you need to update it? If you can see the V4 clone option in the Autofit drop down for other clothing types, then it is installed correctly I would think.

Check your "Fit To". Some older items don't seem to do that even when the figure is selected. Then auto fit should pop right up. :)

Right click the outfit and choose Fit To, then select Genesis. This will prompt the autofit dialog option. Choose Victoria 4 from the list, assuming you have the add-on, and the autofit should do the rest.

Sometimes it doesn't automatically load the autofit dialog when loading the outfit.

Is this what you are using http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-dynamic-bodysuit ? Dynamics can't be converted, though you may be able to line the figure up with the suit (without fitting it) and then do an animated drape to your pose in frame 30.

    No, I'm using this one.

    http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-2-bodysuit

I can't select the item in the window at all (again, not a problem with any other item). I can select it in the Scene tab so it lights up in the window but I can't right-click it there. It's very strange how it's behaving, since this seems like the only item I've used in DS that works that way.

I have manually gone to Edit>Figure>Fit To to try and get the Auto-Fit.

If I select Genesis, it brings up the Auto-Fit window and the "V4 Body Suit_Rig" appears in the dropdown, but nothing happens when I accept it. The Body Suit itself does not appear in the Auto-Fit dropdown.

If I select the Bodysuit and try to use the Auto-Fit window, I get a message that says: "You must select one or more figure(s) in the scene to perform this action."

I've also tried deleting the rigging altogether and using the Transfer Utility to try and transfer from Genesis to the Bodysuit, but it crashes my system.

I am currently trying a work around so I won't have to use the Bodysuit but it would make my life easier if I could and I hate to think I won't be able to use this piece of clothing in the future.

You are using the item I linked - or another dynamic bodysuit. The rig figure is the helper skeleton that allows the item to roughly follow the figure before draping. As I recall the item you link will be found under Poser Formats>content library name>Figures>Victoria 4 Clothing, but you can check the readme to be sure.

Okay, thanks everyone. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get it up and running but I was able to get my work around with the other item going so I'm happy.

Just for future reference, the bodysuit you were trying to use is V4Bodysuit without spaces. The one in your image was the dynamic version Richard linked as the conforming suit doesn't have lines running down it in the 'corset' area, but the dynamic version does.
