is it necessary to use the daz michael skeleton for realistic movement?

I watched a video day before yesterday talking about using the skeleton in conjunction with the figure to prevent the character from moving unnaturally, beyonf normal physical bounds. is it adviseable then to buy the skeleton to always use with the characters? I see they are on sale now 80% off. I only do animation. Not stills.
Thanks in advance

The only 'skeleton' that affects how a figure moves is built into the figure and not an add-on. The skeleton on sale is for when bones are visible.

Hi, Angus,
As was stated, the figures have a "skeleton". This is called their rig. It is what allows the DAZ (or any figures) to move in a 3D program. What prevents a figure from moving unnaturally beyond normal physical bounds is a constraint. In Studio, I believe the figure is set to have rotational limitations when you pose it. While we call it moving our arms or legs, we are really rotating. If you leave the limits on, this is considered the normal range of motion. Sometimes you will work with a character that is a bit of a gymnast or dancer where the poses extend past these limits and this is when we turn them off, but in general, it's good to keep them on, imo. You can enable/disable limits when you are in the Parameters tab in the options pane.
