Morphing clothing to fit, without actuallying using "fit to..."

I am wondering if it is possible to do something like this:

I have a piece of armor currently fit to a female Victoria 5 character that has a number of morphs applied. I would like to separate the armor from Genesis, but retain the shape of the armor. In other words, I want the armor to look like it fits the character, but I don't want her to actually be wearing it, it will be hanging up or sitting on a shelf.

I thought maybe I could just copy the morph values from Genesis to the armor after setting "fit to..." to none, but this doesn't work, I think because the imported morphs used by the armor to fit Genesis are called "PBMExampleMorph" or "FBMExampleMorph" instead of just "ExampleMorph". Any way to do this other than try to correlate the values manually one by one?

In the end, I could probably just fake it with the armor's morphs, but I would like it to look exactly like it does now.

Is there a way to save the armor in its currently morphed and conformed shape?

Thanks.

Can you just use another invisible V5

That's a really good idea that I hadn't thought of, thank you very much. I think too literally about this stuff sometimes, and miss a lot of the more efficient work-arounds and shortcuts.
