Resetting studio to its original first time opening

I am fairly new to Daz studio and I have no idea but somehow I changed everything beyond recognition to the point where I have to uninstall and reinstall. I did that but when I started studio up again after the reinstall it was exactly the way it was screwed up. My question is how do you reset it so that it is exactly as it should be when you open the program up for the very first time

How did you install DS?  The application settings in Windows are in "C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4" for the General Release.  Uninstall DS, rename or move that folder, then reinstall.

  • No need for the whole uninstall thing; generally speaking uninstalling software is more than often useless because most installers won't touch your settings. So.. if you then re-install you're right back where you started.

The best way is to make sure the software isn't running, then rename the config folder. Renaming will make sure that you can always restore things when needed. The best place to look for this on Windows is %APPDATA%, it's a shortcut for 'AppData\Roaming'. So I'd recommend renaming 'Studio4' and then starting Daz Studio again, you should be right back to the default.

It's hidden by default - try pasting

    %AppData%/daz 3d/Studio4/

into the address bar of a File Explorer window.
