Is there a quick way to disable all lighting and switch to an overall "I can see even the darkest corner" light? Of course I can use a) a camera headlight b) disable all scene lighting c) pump the dome lighting up c) spawn a spotlight but that's not the same.
No, external in that particular case, but nontheless a helpful answer for internal, thanks, and for external I could create a primitive emissive plane above and make it in-/visible. However there will be shadows still.
It's just working light for exact posing work, in the final render I don't need it anymore.

Internal scene? Make the ceiling Emissive and turn it off and on in the Surface Tab.

Turn off Preview Lights in the Window menu - default shortcut cmd(Mac)/ctrl(Win) L. That doesn't affect renders, just the preview.
Thank you, that was exactly the command I refered to but I forgot somehow for what and where to look!
