Well, am I signed in or not ?

In software programming, it's always all in the details, and finding the little person with check mark in the upper right of the Storefront UI, indicating I was signed in, was troubling, because I wasn't yet signed in.
These sorts of dumb detail mistakes, since my identity and wallet are concerned, are quite the drag.
Daz3D wants me to entrust my very expensive content library to their control, when every day there's some new, glaringly foolish blunder?
I hope Daz isn't thinking that will increase their profits somehow.
Interestingly, in typing my complaint, I made several typos, but proofing and fixing them just took a moment. Daz, are you listening?

To login or logout?
Are any of us ever signed in?
What does it mean to be signed in and who is to say if we ever actually sign out?
Is it all not but the fleeting whim of the gods that we can ever only pretend to login at all?
Who are we to dare so great a dream as that by the simple click of a mouse or the peck of a finger, control our destinies as though we stood upon the highest posts of Mount Olympus?
Are we gods or mortal men limited to this realm by way of fate?
To be logged in or not to be logged in, that is a damned good question.
Whether it nobeler to suffer the slings and sparrows of gnawing doubt or to click in vain desperation at icons in hope of resolving our fears.
Yet it is that we do suffer these mean doubts and pigeons of insolent uncertainty in quiet resolve.
For what is our choice but to click a thousand small and feeble clicks to no avail.
Each click and it brethren a thousand tiny deaths.
To grunt and sweat in fear of the unknown, of that which lies between the ether.
We lose not our passwords, but precarious concerns make cowards of us all.
We click and suffer these thousand natural shocks, and dream of sleep.
To sleep perchance to nap upon our keyboards and visit in those dreams, sweet golden summer fields where logging in is so assured.
Then to turn our head in that land of slumber and find ourselves lost in dark woods of sorrow, alone and logged out, but logged in somehow.
This is the curse that flesh is heir to, this undiscovered county which cares not were or when you click.
And thus we lose all actions, be stilled and cold.
Hath thou forsaken us all fair DAZ, thine nymph of low cost polygons?
May all my posts and purchases be remembered.
To log in and out and nothing more.
That wasn't helpful was that...?
Sorry, I've been helping my daughter with Shakespeare stuff, that's all I've got at this point.
There are actually 2 different log-ins on the site. and # ways that you can log in. You can log in to the Forums, which is one software, or you can log in to the store, which is another software. Just to make it really fun you can also (and this is reccommended) you can log in on Daz 3d Home pare and then you are logged in to both softwares at the same time and they will then Synch. And if you are logged in to both and then log out on only one, you will still be logged in on the other.
Does it still work like that? I always got the "signing you in now" message when I went from the store to the forums, no matter how I signed in to begin with. And I've never seen that message since the store switchover — that's what made me think the login sequence had changed.
Also, I don't think I've had any stealth forum logouts since the switchover, and I used to get them at least three or four times per week.
That's not how logging out ever worked for me. I usually logout from the store, not the forums; if I then went back into the forums or clicked a link in an e-mail notification, I got the "signing in" message.
Except every now and then I got "signing out" then immediately "signing in".
It's possible that they have got it working better now, but that was how it always used to be.
The little person icon that shows if you are logged in is all wrong...
Logged in, its white, which is supposed to indicate that you are logged out...
but logged out, it's blue with a checkmark ... which means you are logged in.
It's a minor thing probably, but very confusing...
If you have a blue banner, you're not as logged out as you think you are.
I get the litle blue man with a tick indicating I'm logged in, but I know I'm not because I don't have the Leave a Comment option at the end of the thread. When I do log in, the little icon doesn't change.
Yes it's a minor problem. I'm more concerned we haven't had a gallery for... what is it now? ..... 3 weeks!
Whether I am logged in or out the little man is always blue, is never white anymore, the only thing that makes me think I may be logged out is my litle blue banner says I get 5% loyalty discount, but then I log in and it changes to 30% loyalty discount.
Wait... I thought you click the "Log Out" button and all the logging out magic occurs that way... So now there is logged out and semi-logged out?
Is it like purgatory where I'm being punished for my little sins and I have to wait until I refill my goodness bar before I can move on?... this is going to take a while... a long while.
Or is this like an escape room... like I have to solve a mystery now?
Is there a starting hint or a set of rules posted somewhere?
But I suppose there being different levels of logged out is good... especially for the indecisive...
So yours is always blue?... and mine is reversed... you have a bigger discount than me... maybe it's based on discounts or purchasing history...
It is like an escape room!
This going to be fun! I love a mystery!
Hotel Daz. You can log out any time you like, but you can never log out.
I thought it was just me lol. I have my browser set to clear cache and cookies when it's closed. It's always blue when I come here though, then I am wondering for a while who stole my comment box the first time I come. Hey, it's a step up from last week, none of the icons like the blue guy even loaded then. I was just getting some weird gibberish letters and numbers there instead.
Yes mine is always blue, even on different computers so it's not an issue with me it must be the site.
As far as I can tell, the discount depends on whether you've purchased anything the previous day. If I have, even if it's just the daily freebie, I get 30%. Each time I've missed a day, it's reverted to 5%.
I'm having the same icon color issue as well. I'm also not able to add things to my wishlist even though I'm logged in; I get a message saying I need to log in even though I already am.
I get that too. But I've found that if I refresh the page, then I'm logged in. (Win10, GoogleChrome browser)
