Problem with clothes when exporting a character

Hey guys i just started using Daz along with some content i bought a long time ago, and one thing troubles me very much.

I want to export some characters to Iclone Via 3dxchange, but when i export my character from Daz, the clothes are completely off..

This is the character i want to export, but when the exporting process starts, the shirt goes down on it's own, after i spent many minutes trying to fit it to the character. And then naturally, when i import it in 3dxchange, it comes totally wrong...

Note: The auto-fit tool worked for the pants but it didn't for the shirt, so i did it manually.

So what is the problem here? Why does the shirt come off on it's own when the character is exported?

Thanks for any replies!!

Edit: My export settings, in case anything is wrong in there. I try to export in .FBX

Is the clothes fit to the character in DAZ?
Not just parented, lined up, attached, it has to be fit to under parameters
And auto fitted if made for a character other than genesis
Also export must have skeletons merged which I see you do indeed have ticked so that is OK.

    So is it fit to?
Maybe explain why auto fit did not work, what happened

The auto-fit tool worked all right for the pants.

However, the shirt didn't fit no matter which option i chose in the auto-fit tab (Genesis/Victoria 4/Genesis 2 Male/Unsupported etc). See here what happened when i tried to auto-fit the shirt.

So i just placed it myself where it was supposed to be and then i just parented it with the chest. No auto-fit at all.

The model i am using is Genesis 2 (i think it's either Victoria 5 or 6, not sure) and the shirt and pants are for Victoria 3.

Does that mean that clothes from older generations cannot fit to newer generation models? If so, why did the auto fit in the pants work, and the shirt from the same package didn't?

    Thanks for the reply!!

It should work if conforming for another figure
Can you say what the product is?
Without knowing who it is for hard to get a satisfactory result as all different

    Ah reread
Fit to genesis first using v3
Then refit to g2f choosing genesis

You need the V3 shape for genesis

How it works is DAZ used to have figures with clothes made only for them
Needed other programs like cross dresser and wardrobe wizard to convert
Then they invented genesis with all these cool abilities to auto fit older stuff.
You best look at the figure compatibility guide before buying stuff, M4 and V4 stuff generally auto fits OK out the box to genesis if no extra bones like handles for skirts.
Best bet is buy genesis G2F & M stuff for ease of use
Older stuff will always need work and extra tools
Though you can sometimes roughly fit it export as obj with genesis hidden then reimport and use the transfer utility with smoothing.

Could you explain to me how to apply V3 and M3 Shapes for Genesis? I didn't understand how to do it...

http://www.daz3d.com/v3-and-m3-shapes-for-genesis will give you autofit options for those figure
once fitted to genesis you can then refit to G2F or G2M or save as a support asset to do so
