Dred Pickup Light and Color Render Problems

I am a very green newbie so the answer to this may be obvious but I can't find answers when I try to search...

When I open the Dred Pickup and adjust lights, the render (saved as PNG), the colors and light are no where close to what the original image is. It's very much washed out as if it's over-exposed with the lighting.

Other packages seem to work with no problem. Some also appear to have a default, if you do not use lights the final render is what I wanted in terms of light and color.

For what I'm doing, I'd prefer not using lights on the truck but it comes out too dark in the render.

What am I failing to do?

Thanks

Are you using the Poser or DAZ Studio version of the item? I would suspect the issue is using the Poser version, with a reflection map that is overwhelming the basic diffuse colour.

It was the free download they had the other day. Is it a different version from the purchase version or am starting with the wrong elements when I'm opening it up?

There are four installers for Pickup Dred - for DS 4.5+ you need only the Pickup Dred PS package. Which did you install, and from where are you loading the product?

No it is the same version so as Richard asked what are you loading and where from, Daz Studio Formats, Poser Formats or the Smart Content Pane?

It is probably easier for us to help with seeing the issue first. Can you upload an image please.

A couple comments here actually helped me figure out one issue, now it's mostly the lighting I'm having trouble with. That probably requires more reading of the manual.

    Thanks
