Yeah, kind of wish the file organization was more standardized. Especially when I get a few items which refuse to show up in product view, despite repeated reimports of meta data.
egads  back catalog ketchup is beastly.
carnival. and trying to sort the mog ruith stuff.
which texture add-ons haz studio cf. which are ds dsa dsb in the poser folder, then which haz mc6 and which are in the pose folder only. which are rsr only.
vhere did the mog ruith tavern go to?

Haunted Mansion only haz one expansion?
The Study expansions,
which ones are christmas past? mix and match jumble.
mfd mix and matched with hooded cloak, wildwoods traveler, fortune teller accessories, some mix in the pharoah dress.
forget enjoying a martini while sorting this, can't spare the brain cells
finally one that makes sense  props, architecture, mog ruith, tavern
if only the mog ruith itself made that much sense
sometimes you don't have to load the base then add the mat. sometimes there comes a base with the mat addon already on it. :cheese:
yep many of us have been saying this for years now..and still no change.
...this is why I am considering manually DLing/installing all the Daz content I installed with both the old .exe installers and DIM.
The only content I can readily find (without resorting to using Smart Content which takes up more space than I like on my screen) is stuff I bought from other stores, freebies, and the most recent Daz DLs (which I've had to manually install as I cannot use the DIM right now) as I can at least rename them in and organise them into the custom "library" folders in my runtime.
Had too many breakdowns with the database setup to really consider it useful anymore.
As my old sig said:
...I'm an Artist, Not A Database Manager.
Yeah I haven't tested the PostSQL database yet but it should be, from what I have been told and read, more stable for Categorizations of content and so far I haven't seen anyone post issues like the old CMS database software.
...I still use the "old school" tree view as I don't like menus and panes that take/cover up a good chunk of the UI while I'm working.
Also never liked the default horizontal scrolling, just seemed unnatural to someone like myself who used to be a "top down" programmer.
Isn't that at least partly because that view's the default on a new installation? I keep seeing the horizontal layout being used in screenshots; I could never work that way. I've always, since even before D|S1 final release, only used tree view because it's compact, unambiguous, and looks-and-feels very like the folder view in an Explorer window. Add in that many people don't realise there are alternative UI settings, and things can get complicated.

I don't know how many people prefer one or the other, but I've always preferred the horizontal view. It annoys me whenever I want to move a category in DS, as that uses the tree view (and I can never understand why that one is called the tree view -- the horizontal view seems more tree-like to me).
Glad to see I'm not the only one with content overload. Years ago, I would install to a temp directory, zip it up and place it where I wanted. I did this more than once. When I switched to Mac, I did that less often. Now with the DIM, I really got out of the habit. I did install the PostgreSQL database, but I'm not sure how to see it.
