Create Category from doesn't consistently work as expected
Hi-
I'm not finding this scenario when searching the forums but I would find it hard to believe that I'm the only one experiencing this.
I'll be the first to admit my runtime directories are a bit of a mess, which is why (in theory) the categories option would suit me best. The problem is that the items I categorize from using right-click create category from doesn't work consistently and I find it absolutely frustrating.
For example-Navigating from Daz Studio Formats->My Daz 3D Library->Props ; the various sub-folders all show items. This example I'll use the !antiStar folder, qUBD_M6_Props-from this view, you can see the items in this subfolder.
I right-click on the !antiStar folder, use Create Category from "This folder & Subfolders". I then direct Daz to categorize this to Categories->Default->Props->Other, choose Accept.
But then navigating to Categories->Default->Props->Other->!antiStar->qUBD_M6_Props it shows None.
This is just one example, even if I choose This folder & Subfolders from Daz Studio Formats->My Daz 3D Library->Props - only some of the items appear as expected, the rest just show None; I cannot determine a common thread as to why some things show as expected and others do not.
If there's something I'm doing wrong, or if there's a work around, please let me know, because there are days when I just want to throw the computer out the window.
I've attached screenshots for visual assistance.
Thanks for reading this, and any input would be greatly appreciated!

If you move up one folder and then back down to force it to refresh, do they appear?
@sondheimfreak
I do this all the time and have no problem. Sometimes I need to wait a little bit for the thumbnails to appear in their newly created categories.
fixmypcmike and Erdehel, thank you both for your input.
I did try moving up 1 folder and back down, still no results. Next I tested creating the category, shut down DS, restarted, navigated to the category-still no results.
I reset the database, then created some categories-that *seems* to have done the trick, as the original item I tried to categorize is now showing where expected. I say *seems* because I still have a LOT of things to categorize so I don't know with 100% certainty (yet) that resetting the database is what fixed the issue.
Thanks again!
And now the tedious work begins. Finding what goes with what. LOL
LOL, yup, you got that right!
